253a and b are separated by 60km and taking different routes. So not even using the same gpx-es?

• #1804
So Bjorn first to CP1
rj #15 currently the first forumite well along the parcour, Samuli #84, Goatandtricycle #141 and Hippy #142 early on the parcour,
Frank9755 #155, Swissy #167 and Peterboynton #208 still on the approach -

This guy is posting video updates which always help bring it to life

Hippo again seems to have the rather sporadic tracker updates thing.
-
• #1807
Oh, silly me. :)

Fiona Kolbinger was the fastest woman early on, I think, and may still be, but her tracker hasn't updated for more than three hours. Stina Svensson has since overtaken her.
Tanja Hacker, who was leading the women in the TABR last year until she got horribly lost somewhere, is also riding.

That's when he's using the illegal motor, it sucks all the power.
rj going super well, bet we have a few lfgss challenging for top spots.
-
• #1810
Fiona Kolbinger is well up there, currently lying in 6th (natch--she's cap number 66). She needs to be careful or she'll unwittingly become a favourite of devil-worshippers.
rj still very close to Björn. Excellent riding reminiscent of skinny, who has in the past tended to jump ahead only after the first day.

New gimmick in this year's race, the leader cap:
-
• #1812
Cap 143 deviated from the parcours and took a flatter route to the north, gaining a significant advantage. I don't believe it was accidental so it will be interesting to see how he is penalised
-
• #1813
Why don’t you think it’s accidental?
-
• #1814
Yeah it's a long race and a good way to go yet.
We know Bjorn is vert fast out the gate. -
• #1816
I'd guess that he misinterpreted the rules about the parcours and had planned his route to take the more northern path, rather than a missed turn leading him there. If it was an accident he would have noticed he was off-course and turned around

First scratches already because of the heat. One of them is #43, the Brompton.
-
• #1818
saw a few scratched at cp1. Wondered why. Scorchio. Cheers for update dude
-
• #1819
Having never ridden an allnighter it seemed too risky to try this early on in the race.
-
• #1820
Smashing it man, strong riding!
-
• #1821
With the 3 parcours (start, CP1 and CP2) so close to each other there isn't much difference in the routes yet. So any deviations and mistakes are very noticable.
Don't know what cap165 is up to
And 229 going the long way around?
-
• #1822
A few on the parcours to CP2. quite close at the front
-
• #1823
Looks scenic where 229 is at least.

Anyone else noticed Trackleaders' mapping seems to say "Pacific Ocean" on almost any sea?
-
• #1825
Can you be more Pacific?
Bjorn already approaching CP1
