Bjorn still there hope it doesn't end his race. Don't want to curse it, but hippy's had a great start. Samuli customary steady so far, also keeping an eye on Stephane cap12 / matt falconer cap2 who are all lurking toward the front end now. Fiona in second is interesting also. rj leading, wonder if he expected that at this stage?

Does Bjorn ever take those glasses off?
Bloody great picture that though

#66 putting in a great ride
Looks like it should get more interesting now with the routes starting to diverge to CP3

I had a good day yesterday after bad first day. Put my front wheel in a hole in start parcours and came off. Hit shoulder hard but nothing broken. Bat end shifters snapped off but could salvage the rear one. Stupid mistake, lost an hour trying to gain a minute. Also didn't drink enough in the heat.
today will be interesting, thunder storms which could make cp1 parcours very messy! -

Sounds like your race could've ended before it really began! Keep pushing on 💪💪💪

Bjorn still at CP2, Fiona moved into first position but probably resting now and rj on the move again.

Despite your travails, you are making good progress and only a little behind hippy. If you keep within 50 km of the great man, you should benefit by drafting.

Has https://www.frrt.org/ closed down? I can't find this year's race on it or, indeed, anything from this year.

Ivan Cornell, the guy behind frrt, is racing this year. cap5

Is that an excuse? Surely he has a phone with him and could manage it from that!
Fair enough. Glad he is riding but sad that that resource is not available this year. It was a nice presentation of data and an easier format for analysis than Trackleaders.

Pleased to see James Illman #131 doing well after a really tough ride last year.

Maybe they have a prescription in them to see better? Sad his dot is still static. Good work @frank9755, @GoatandTricycle going well in the pack too.

Everyone through CP1. I have a feeling that we will have fewer stragglers this year.

• #1845
Bjorn has scratched
-
• #1846
sad news that. but ouch to those sores.
great stuff for recovering @frank9755 - keep up the good work dude

• #1847
Terrible news, the year he was the outright favourite and started so well.

Ivan Cornell
is he riding fixed?

good work. seems tough going out there so far with heat and now rain.
Bjorn returned to CP2, saddle sores and a wasp sting. And @rj also at CP2.
