Looks like some early parcours shenanigans...

4 hours in and already people going the wrong way.

Bjorn leading the way and it looks like all our lfgss riders got off ok.

262a/b finally realised they were going the wrong way.

I'd have picked that way, too, it seems much less hilly.

You'd think they know the parcours is mandatory, otherwise they would have gone straight in the beginning.

rj now in second--he's overtaken Brendan Cassidy. The leaders seem to be on a fast bit.

Goddamn, dotwatching this from the beginning this year has me thinking about next year...

@MisterTomTom any Belgians racing? I saw Rudy Verwimp (n104) had a derailleur pad go bad on him but he's going anyway.

What is going on with the 'elevation plot'? On my display, it seems to be locked to a small section of the route (114km?) and I can't zoom in or out. Is that the early parcours?

Thought it was somehow intentional from them. The control car went past them at some stage too. If you're going to f up, perhaps best to do it at the start. They've got time and fresh legs to get back into things.

The elevation view should be removed. It's not possible to have a route profile in a free-routing event. The elevation shown is possibly CP4.

Dq. For outside assistance. Sure they’re heading back now but there is no way they rode that route unintentionally, and my guess is that they only turned back because someone told them they fucked up.

Or they saw it discussed on FB. Or checked the tracker for the first time.
