Does anyone have any idea on gearing? Hopefully going in March. Guessing about 80-85"?
-
• #54
84" will more than suffice, After all it is called a Taster Session
-
• #55
I've been informed their bikes will be geared at 84".

ME today:
SO AWESOME.

(slightly) Over exposed, boring framing, could do with more DoF
2/10 would not bang.
Oh wait ...

Nice!
Were you on a hire bike? Any idea what gearing?
-
• #62
LOLZ. You joke. The reporter took 100 photos of me, that's the only one vaguely in focus.
Yeah, Condor standard, good. Dunno gearing, not that high and it was press day so there were a lot of beginners.

We know you're awesome, Ben, no need to remind us all the time. :)I note that the Velodrome gets a taste of forumtastic plimsolls.

RPM was there. He didn't approve of my shoe choice. Forgot my SIDIs.

Now we just need hippy to ride a 100 there in his trainers.

It looks like you're rather enjoying yourself in that picture PB. Great! I'm not sure about the shoes either though.
I was on the road circuit earlier, wearing Dromartis and I can confirm that the surface is very nice. I would advise however to beware of golf buggies driving in the opposite direction. -

Going to watch revolutions on Saturday Nacht
Is there anywhere to safely lockup at the stadium... east isn't it? -
• #68
Plenty of cycle stands from what I saw today. Unless everybody turns up by bike, you should be fine.
-
• #69
Did you lock your bike up there?
Ja oder nein -
• #70
There's cycle stands outside the entrance, and no doubt plenty of staff milling around. Sure it'll be fine.

What about brompton users?
Think there'd be a problem if they wanted to bring their clown bikes inside? -
• #72
I'm a bit confused about their accreditiation.
The first step is the Taster session right?
- It also says taster is just for people wanting to get a chance to ride the track, it's a bit ambigious. Unless you look at the chart.
When will the other stages be available to book?
Four stages to accreditation
Stage 1 - Taster adult
(includes bike and helmet hire)£30.00
Stage 1 - Taster concession
(includes bike and helmet hire) £22.00
Stage 2 - Improver
Stage 3 - Advanced
Stage 4 - Accreditation
Adult £20.00
Stage 2 - Improver
Stage 3 - Advanced
Stage 4 - Accreditation
Concession
£15.00 - It also says taster is just for people wanting to get a chance to ride the track, it's a bit ambigious. Unless you look at the chart.

From what I understand, it seems as though once you've done your taster session you will be able to book the next stages through your membership to the site. That's the impression I got anyway.

No. I mean, nein. I didn't leave it there, either, but it would have been fine. -

Anyone know if you can use shoes with look cleats on them on those hire bikes?
