A world-class line-up of Olympic champions has been revealed for the forthcoming Revolution Series, which will conclude at the London 2012 Olympic Velodrome at Lee Valley VeloPark next March.Olympic track champions Laura Trott, Jason Kenny and Ed Clancy will all race along with current National Road Race champion and Olympic silver medalist Lizzie Armitstead.
The expanded five-round series includes three Manchester dates and one in Glasgow before the debut event in London, a double-header on Friday 14 and Saturday 15 March 2014.
Limited tickets remain for all rounds - buy yours now or call Quay Tickets on 0843 208 0500. Parking will not be available at Lee Valley VeloPark for this event please plan your journey ahead of the event using public transport tfl.gov.uk and nationalrail.co.uk

£120 do to an accreditation, bought in £30 taster session vouchers?
Bit of a piss-take IMO.
Can't they have a familiarisation session for those that have either a Manc or Newport accreditation already?
-

I have a vague recollection that those who have accredition from other tracks will only have to do levels 3 and 4 or something like that at Lee Valley. So if that is the case it's only 2 more sessions at £20 each. I may be wrong.

I don't think all 4 sessions are £30. Just the first one. I seem to recollect that it's gonna be around £90 for the 4 sessions. That includes equipment hire too.

So it's all unclear then. And I still don't see an answer to the question of what requirements are if you want to ride your own bike.

I'd like to take my own bike, but I'm guessing they want you to do this first session with their gear as there isn't an option to buy a cheaper ticket. They ask you for information on helmet and shoe size as well as height on the membership forms.
I plan to ask the coaches if I can ride my own bike after I've done my first session...

My plan of action:
- Get Herne Hill accreditation sorted next month to rubber-stamp my Intermediates veteran awesomeness.
- While I'm there, ask the VCL cognoscenti what's the score with this indoor track business.
Didn't I read somewhere that HH accreditation is involved in this fast-tracking process?

Interesting details of accreditation requirements:
*"Currently if you are accredited at Manchester, Glasgow, Newport or Calshot (indoor tracks) you will still have to pass our own accreditation process"...*but
"If you are an accredited rider for an outdoor hard track (e.g. Herne Hill, Welwyn, Palmer Park) you will only need to complete level 3 and 4 of the accreditation process"
This is what I was thinking of with my earlier comment. Upthread from months ago. This may have changed.

I can't see any reference to outdoor tracks any more...just this...
Currently if you are accredited at Manchester, Glasgow, Newport or Calshot (indoor tracks) you will still have to pass our own accreditation process. We anticipate this changing in due course as we are currently working on a national plan for all five major indoor velodromes to share a unified system of accreditation and will state here if our process changes in the future.
- * If you are a current Professional International track rider (with an elite UCI Licence) with approval from the venue manager or an assistant manager you will not have to pass the accreditation process.*
- * If you are a former pro/national track level or a first and elite category road cyclist you will need to start the track accreditation process from stage 1.*
- * If you are a current Professional International track rider (with an elite UCI Licence) with approval from the venue manager or an assistant manager you will not have to pass the accreditation process.*

I'd love to, will you be using your own bike or hiring?
-
• #43
Hiring is included in the price. It doesn't mention being able to do the first session on your own bike...
-

The indoor/outdoor thing fell through. LVVP were keen but the other indoor tracks weren't and they all needed identical accreditations.

Thanks for clarifying Cooky.

Booked in for this. Bit annoyed I paid £30 for the gift voucher and it turns out that it's only £22 for concessions, not sure where my £8 has gone.

Yes Jess! See you there.
Also just emailed about using my own bike and they said it would be fine as long as the coach deems it acceptable before the session, which I think is the procedure at all UK velodromes.
The price is still fixed at £30 if you hire a bike or not, but I'm guessing everyone would like to take their own, I do!

You got more info on this please? ms.chris might be interested, I could take a day off work to mind the kid while she goes.
Looking forward to this - so much easier for me to get to after work than Hog Hill!
