I really enjoyed visiting Pact yesterday and meeting the super friendly team. I was really impressed by their slick operation - the coffee has it's own designated office!
Despite my being somewhat (READ: 'extremely') overexcited and caffeinated before I arrived - even more after sampling their brew - they all showed a keen interest in my bikes-coffee-cycling-coffee-rides-coffee gibberish.
It was good to hear loads of forumengers have taken up the offer. I'm absolutely loving my beans.
Thanks guys and thanks David for the link up!

Yup...we're really pleased too. A stove-top success.

Pact Espresso Blend. Not bad at all and very nice as a latte!
Looking forward to trying some of your filter coffees.

Received mine in the mail on Friday - great coffee, great packaging. I'd also like to say that the website is one of the nicest and most functional I have seen in a while!

Ordered today, many thanks for this offer.

I ordered some coffee for a gift for my Mum and Pact emailled her the day before it arrived to say that some coffee was on its way...kind of ruined the surprise a bit!
Mum likes the coffee though.

Totally digging my El Salvador. So much better than the stuff we get at work!

Also, just a suggestion, perhaps a once a month option on deliveries?
I get free coffee at work and at home (benefits of moving back in with your parents...!) but the downside to this is I don't get to choose my coffee at work or at home. I ordered the first bag as it was just £1 but I'm really enjoying it and I would happily spend £7/month on surplus coffee as a luxury. If I get 500g/month, it just won't get used enough.

^ just to echo that. I get hasbean on 1st each month so pact on the 14th could be a lazyvway to keep in beans.

Just had my first cup and it was great. It has an interesting after taste, a good type.

Mine came through today but I drank about 7 cups at work so will be waiting until tomorrow to try it.

Popped into see them today and got a guided tour of their outfit.
They were busy grinding and packaging the beans that were newly roasted in Wembley.Really friendly . Offered to pop round to CTUK with some free coffee on Monday.
(Offered them cycle training in return...
...lucky them ;)
Good. Glad to hear your paths have now crossed. They all seemed genuinely excited to hear about the cycle training/bike maintenance organisation so near. -

I think that's a design issue - it may be missing a confirmation message. Can I call you to make sure it's all in order? I'll just need your surname to look up your info.
Or you can get me on 0207 231 0247!
Stephen
Yep. There was no confirmation, but I've got an email.
Also, I had to abandon the order mid through due to an offline (real life) situation and forgot about it for a couple of days, just get a sample offer, which was a nice touch.
Now I need to get an aeropress instead of the Turkish stove pot. -

Me too, free 100g, still got the 250g for a quid though.

I emailled Pact to let them know that they emailled my Mum to ruin the surprise. No answer after three days...not what I expected.
Obviously no biggie but I sort of expected a sorry and thanks for letting us know...

Possibly annoying question - why did you give them your moms email address?

That's nothing, I gave them her phone number

Because they ask for it when you buy a gift...they even state that they won't email the recipient until after they've received their coffee. I assume this is so that the recipient is given the option to pay to continue to receive coffee.

Lame.

As if by magic, Pact sent me a very kind email sorting everything out.
Go internet!

Got a bag of the Espresso Blend and it's very nice. A little lacking in body for my personal taste, I like my espresso to have a kick to it, but tasty all the same. Makes a cracking cappuccino, adding the milk brings out the lighter flavours, almost like having a little blob of Nutella stirred into it. Have ordered the El Salvador for the next bag and look forward to comparing the two. I'm going to keep back enough beans from the Espresso Blend to be able to do a side by side tasting :)

Aha
Turns out my account was stuck in a database cul-de-sac, a phone call from Pact and it's all sorted now. Beans set to arrive on Tuesday which should be perfect timing for when the current supply runs out.
Thanks DK and Pact
