They're £21.50 for 2 bags of the cheapest 250g delivered, as lot more than £12.

Pact cs are excellent. When i was using them more often you would occasionally get the wrong bag sent out, or a second bag would come only a few days after (when it wasn't supposed to), always had a credit or soemthing sorted out.
Still use them but local have got much better for same price and would prefer to support those. Also an excuse to walk the dog a bit further -

I really do recommend giving Yellow Bourbon a go.
Pact is good enough, YB is great.

Is there still a lfgss deal?
-
• #231
Not been one mentioned for an age. Think deal came from a forumenger sharing building with Pact... there's the odd offer pops in my fb ads.
Y u no Yellow Bourbon tho?
-
• #232
Not sure, but I'm still signed up from that deal, means I get a pound off as I'm an early subscriber, so £6.95 instead of £7.95 per 250g of beans.
It's my fall back option, I get sent beans every couple of months, they send an email the week before if I've got beans in I just push it on for another couple of months... -

Not LFGSS, but code 'NEW' works for a cheap bag

Cheers all.
I stopped doing it originally because I went away and had totally forgotten about it. Then because I was only having a coffee a day at home have just been buying big standard supermarket ground coffee.
The current crisis has made me think it's not a bad idea.
@rhb TBH I assumed that was a blend of bean from Pact. Will check it out.
EDIT: don't really like the sound of any of the yellow bean stuff. All sounds too citrus based.

Each customer can also generate a coupon, here's mine for example: voucher: YO-LFGSS-D5066A .
You'll get £5 off your first order, and I'll get a £5 voucher as well.

Yellow Bourbon is owned by a forumer, so is oft supported and recommended on here.

Does anyone know whether Pact decaf coffee says decaf on the outside?
(I've ordered two of the same coffee, one decaf for my OH who can't have cafine, one normal).
I know I should ask Pact, but TBH I seem to be sending at least one msg every order and can't face another. Maybe I'm getting old, but I find their sites interface style over substance and am pretty tempted to sack it off.

Have never bought decaf from pact but a quick Image search showed some photos of bags labelled as decaf.
Shows that they at least did label accordingly. I don't see why they would have changed. Especially as they have previously sold their current decaf as full caffeine.

Wonder how many actually noticed a difference
Years ago at a very stressful job I found myself making coffee but forgetting to drink it. Still got the pick-me-up effect though

I wasn't very clear what I meant. I meant that Pact tend to sell a full caffeine version of the coffee beans that they also sell as decaf, so it has the same name...apart from the addition of "decafinated" on the label. Would be confusing as fuck if they stopped clearly labelling it.

Its easily done. At a Champions League away game in Rome about ten years ago we turned up at the Olympic Stadium moderately drunk and started knocking back pints. At the end of the game I was absolutely steaming drunk, only to find out that they'd been selling us alcohol free beer. I almost immediately sobered up. Embarassing! We did think it as odd that they were selling alcohol on a CL match day...

It does
(I wrote decaf too, as it's folded up in the freezer & i can't see the label)

In the freezer?! 😲

Don't you know there's a pandemic on?

There's nothing wrong with storing coffee in the freezer.
In either case, if I left it out of the freezer, by the time I got to the last serving (I mean, it's decaf - it's good for tiramisu and nothing else), it would be like sawdust.

Cheers all.
Don't normally drink decaf, but curious to see what it's like. When we were living in NYC we got some amazing stuff from Old City Coffee in Phily which I often used to drink as the Trader Joe's stuff use to give me a full on buzz.

You don't get this weird anti-decaf attitude on the continent, seems to be a very anglo thing... It's all a bit butch if you ask me...
Amazing for a nation that was happy drinking Maxwell House until very recently...
