• Looks like you're doing it properly, good luck

  • couple of pictures of the fade. not my finest of works, but not too bad considering i'm using my back garden, in the winter, with rattle cans.......
    clear coat next stop.

  • perfect

  • That looks really sharp, I like how you'e left the yellow at the bottom of the fork legs.
    Well done sir.
    Decals?

  • ha ha. Thanks Ed............ in real life the pink is really quite shocking. fades nicely into orange before the yellow........very fruit salad.
i'm thinking of having my surname VANDENBERG(or Luckyskull) down the fork blades and seat-tube. Egocentric i know......like i have said, it's a fun bike.

  • Looks great, what brand of paint did you use?

  • Holts dupli color. Its ok to use. It was the only range i could find with the shocking pink i wanted to use.

  • Get Vandenberg done in the fruit salad font and it'll be so much win.

  • Rad rad rad.

Did you tape up the bottom headset cup?

  • thanks V&N.......nope, didn't mask it, but its going to replaced on thursday. leaving the the headset in helped me get fluid colour transition from head-tube to fork.

  • I name thee....

  • Radingon von awesome?

  • Shit! too late......boring old vendenberg....... Radington von awesome is the best name for a bike!

  • nice.

  • yeah, you're making it look far too nice for it's intended purpose and later repaint

  • It has been a fun project. Didn't cost much to build........ and ya gotta look good when you roll up to the club......

  • maybe closer to reality.

  • Yea this is seriously nice , while at the same time being quite antitheft
Would rather the chainset with the bashguard personally though

  • amazing... paint me, paint me

  • Went down to the bike kitchen today. My mate is one of the mechanics, he was working on his own bike and let me use the headset press.

Still thinking of changing the stem..... Other than that, its done. Will take some pictures in the day light tomorrow. It rides like a dream. Going to keep the Campagnolo chain-set for now, i like speed.

My mate has built quite a few mad bikes over the years. I should have taken more pictures of his bikes at the workshop, his polo bike is great. this his his latest freak bike.

  • That thing ^ is rondaculaps.
What's going on with your gaston saddle / post set up, btw?

  • i know, that bike is totally mental!
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-WgBeW4LXcU

The saddle..... It's the way i roll. set up like this on all my bikes. I like being positioned over the chainset. I use inline posts on most of my bikes...... on my everyday beater(the Condor) i use a post the wrong way round......I guess whatever works for you... works. Personally i like Gastons bikes and the way he sets them up. I would ride them.

  • Are they all yours? The top one's rad.

  • Thanks Gaz, just a few of my stable, have a quite a few others that i have yet to photograph. Top one is a custom Barron cycles. Goes like the wind!
