    On the limit. I think.

  • the thing with carbon clinchers are that they are heavier then a velocity aerohead o/c and due to custom fees it's more stressful and expensiv to order them from asia (from germany)

Customs fees are very hit and miss here- sometimes you get hit, sometimes not. I appreciate what you are saying.

  • Eingang please proof the weight! Never seen a picture of a scale or are you just sum the tech specs...

  • Eingang please proof the weight! Never seen a picture of a scale or are you just sum the tech specs...

all the above mentioned weights of parts that i bought are proved with a park tool scales, especially the total weights. all weights regarding planned changes are manufacturer instructions and only to get an appr. weight

  • Sorry for nagging, but if you are willing to change rear wheel I really suggest you change transmission too. It's 98% as durable and you still wount feel any flex. I ride it on my fixed gear CX and I really can't tell the difference. It can be hard to find 144bcd 3/32" chainrings though, but the weight saving will be massiv for relativly cheap money as mentioned.

  • thx, but as i said twice i won't change the drivetrain.

  • They'd look splendid (and quite evil) with the Sugino disc that is in the classifieds right now- rebuild that with a bolt on track hub and a light clincher rim.

  • both are not my type of aesthetics

  • as i hate the little screws at the kcnc stem i ordered a syntace f99 26.0 in 120mm length with some additional titanium screws.

    kcnc: 110g
    syntace with titanium screws: 103g

additionally i ordered a new light seat post clamp (9g), but don't know how much the dolan stock one weighs.

  • What size is the KCNC OS or 26?

  • 26, as i'm running the syntace stratos 200

    24.6g for the DS clamp

    Which clamp you go for?!

  • this one: http://www.ebay.de/itm/CNC-gefraste-Sattelklemme-31-8-34-9-mm-ab-8-2g-/320684073644?pt=Sport_Radsport_Fahrradteile&var=&hash=item76c021bf04

so i saved 15.6g with changing the clamp and 7g with changing the stem (total of 22.6g).

i still don't want to change the wheel set (currently running the ellipse front+rear again), but thinking about a full carbon fork.

  • seat post clamp and titan screws arrived, stem will be here by the end of the week.
i also bought a scale to weigh all the parts and not only the total weigh.

i'm not happy with the design of the seat post clamp, so i'll order another one (tune, 9g). until that a picture of the weights:

  • seat post and seat

  • Now that there's a scale.

    This thread is getting good.

  • more scale stuff.

    brake

  • quick release skewer. left: ffwd / right: tune dc 14

  • ffwd f5 front wheel incl. inflated continental sprinter gatorskin and tune quick release

  • I like this a lot, makes me want to do a light weight fixed build. Good work!

  • seat post and seat

That's excellent- my K:1 and Dorico Ltd are heavier:

  • if i'm remembering right seatpost is around 195g, so the saddle is around 90g

  • I'm considering one of those Rose seatposts now.
