i wouldn't say so, but less than in the beginning in 2008.
but it's right for me; only road, cx and track left. -

but it's right for me; only road, cx and track left.Munich was NEVER a hot spot for fixed gear. Unfortunately its also become a track black hole. Once the birthplace of German track its been killed off with a cheap bullet. The Olympic track stopped being a track after the Olympics and has long since been converted into an assortment of failed projects such as an Olympic Museum and Event arena (home to the Erotic trade show).. The last track in Munich--- also at the Olympic Park--- was the killed and the building knocked down a few years ago. Munich used to be the home to one of the best 6 days in Europe but it was killed in 2009 by Olympic Park mangement--- who are happier with Teutonic stock car races--- so-called DTM--- and one failed event after the next (the last being the X-games).

another track killer is the old nazi club movement in augsburg.
the good thing about not being a hot spot was the easy brakeless riding for years. -

can you still getaway with brakeless in munich? might bring the track bike after all...

When Munich wanted to be the "Bicycle Capital" (Radlhauptstadt) its first acts were
1) to get a clown
2) To dramatically increase police controls on bicycles--- checking brakes, lights etc.--- and a witch hunt for "Radl Rowdies" (cyclists, for example, that don't use the bicycle paths).

"Radler-Polizei soll Unfallzahlen senken" (Bicycle Police should reduce the accident numbers) -

Just a typical German club. Nazis? Far removed.. Historically the Nazis hated bicycle racing. The 6 days was even forbidden by the Nazis as "inhuman" and bicycle racing officially declared NOT a sport--- bicycle racing has traditionally been a socialist activity (and even after the war one could see the support of cycling drawn by politics with significant government support for racing in "communist East Germany").

regarding the police controls you are right, but if you are a daily rider than you knew where they were happen as they only controlled the typical spots along the leopoldstreet.
and the term nazi were only used by me as they act like hating others outside of their club with strict rules without any room for discussions. also they set rules and a few months later they couldn't remind about that.
however, this has nothing to do with the bike :)

San Diego is about old steel classic restaurations.. Berlin about low end old roadies--- what the Germans called "half racers". Amsterdam seems to be a lot about MTBs and omafiets (English Roadsters).. Munich is, I think, less about old steel touring bikes and L'Eroica classic bicycles than omafiets, caferacers, hybrids, city bikes and "on the right roads" carbon racing machines in the summer.. Loads of old steel roadies-- especially Merckx and DeRosa--- but mainly in people's basements.. Most of the classics one might see I think are not in the hands of trend hoppers but people that have been riding them for years.... -

the last stage of this current project begins: selling everything.
as of today all parts of the bike are sold.
project ended.
bye.
id like to share my annoyance. dolan no longer make the seta.
seta's are way nicer looking than dolans' current carbon offerings.
dolan should be forced to bring it back into production.
is all..........
