No probs getting your money back from the shit place then?

Not really, I went in with my 'slightly perturbed' face on and told him that their workmanship is fucking shite ("just not good enough" is what I actually said).

Anyone heard of Samuel Windsor shoes? Thinking of getting these suede brogues, but not sure if what the quality is saying
For some reason I never got the ASOS brogues, and they're now 40notes. Bit gutted, but I have complained to them so we shall see...

They're probably o.k. if you drink at the Sloaney Pony and wear your pastel-shaded knitwear over your shoulders with the cuffs folded back on themselves, whilst taming your "unruly" hair.

I don't conform to that particular look. In fact, I don't conform to any particular look.

I conform to the 'young urban creative yuppie bellend' look. Only half-joking.

Avoid. Really Really poor. If you want proof, their "showroom" is in Ripley, just off the A3 one junction after the M25 (where the bike jumble is) - see for yourself.

My advice, not that I'm qualified to offer any really, is just to skip cheapo (as in crap) leather shoes altogether. False economy.

Alfred Sargent really is a top class leather worker. I wonder if there is actually any better in Britain. Seriously? Possibly not. Magical shoes.
And some of the prices are surprisingly not so astronomic as one one expect. £240 for a piece of wearable art is reasonable to me. But many of the shoes are priced at a premium. No shock there. I apologise to one and all, but this really is a porn thread to me.
Enquired about these via web form - £640 made to order - meh.....won't be getting a pair then......

Ladies shoes, from Barker. Staid to some, classy to others. I'm on the fence, but they are attention getting.

She'd need to wear wool.
So I took my shoes to The Master Cobbler on Upper Street, after demanding my money back from ShittyClean on Goswell Road, and they have done a superb job.
They charge a bit more money (£13 for reheeling, £20 with a quarter blakey), which they thoroughly deserve, so I went for just rubber without the steel this time.
The were friendly and efficient and the work is ace. Recommended.
