Nice, I have a pair of Quoddy Grizzlies and they are great. Very comfortable. Interested to see how a pair of these compare.

^^ If you really like them yes.
But they look like orthopedic prep school boy shoes.

Think they'd look better as a boot, but can't find any online. Know if they exist?

Awaiting delivery of my new Alden 405s, can't wait.
Got them for a good deal cheaper than than the UK retailers If anyone is interested, about £380 all in, PM for deets.
absolutely love mine, hope you remembered that a US9 is the same in these as a UK 9, (even though inside the boots says it's a UK8) they run a whole size up.

They're a bit better, but no.
The laces, the moc toe..?
-
• #3520
Laces needs to be swapped out, moc toe could work with heavy denim
-
• #3521
they're a nice alternative to the red-wing moc toe
wore both in early nineties {oldgit}

can anyone recommend good quality womens shoes that doesn't cost a fortune? Classic models, a chelsea or jodpuhr boot, preferably with a rubber / commando sole so it can take a bit of winter. Just had my girlfriends old boots giving up the ghost after just two years. cost over £150 on half price sale, but had glued soles and shit leather so not keen to spend that kind of money on a throw away pair again.
Happy to pay upwards 250, second hand is fine
