  • If you have a blender, there's lots of healthy spreads you can make.

    6 cups spinach, 2 cups chopped mushrooms, 1/2 cup each of hemp seeds and tahini, 1/4 cup lemon juice, salt, pepper. Blend. Spread on bread. Much less calorie dense than peanut better, very tasty, keeps for about a week in the fridge.

  • That is a good breakfast.
    I had Chesnut Brownie for breakfast Tuesday and yesterday. Obviously in addition to my standard fare of a big bowl of porridge, and 3 pieces of toast (though these are really pathetically sized slices).

  • Cottage cheese is win.

    Vegemite on toast..

    Mushroom pate, also good.

    Peanut butter is best though.

    was looking where I could buy this and found this review (I translated it into English):
    "it smells like a cesspool that has not been emptied for 300 years and it's made from yeast... it looks like baby poop of a child who ate spinach and it really stinks like that shit"

    itsbruce: I don't have a blender at work (or even at home). I also don't think that if I would buy one at put it on my desk and start making pastes my boss would appreciate it.

  • Make yr own hummus? The a bit of dried chili flakes on top of that. Easily last best part of week if not more.

    I absolutely love peanut butter but it's not the best product for weight loss.

    Houmous/hummus?

    Not necessarily that fat-free, but pretty good on bread (although in the Middle East it's usually served as a dish in its own right).

    You can quite easily make it yourself. It has just started to be sold in supermarkets in Germany, so perhaps is already available in NL?

  • I know hummus. I've eaten it before in the middle east. There are shops here that sell it but I need something easy to eat at my workplace. That's why I said on my bread.

  • I went to the supermarket and actually found this bottle of marmite and I bought it.

    I put it on a slice of bread, took a bite and threw the slice of bread and the bottle of marmite in the trash. That stuff is disgusting.

    I still seem to be loosing weight steadily, and im exercising a lot, but I've somehow turbo charged my metabolism, and it's getting expensive!

    I have a set of whole/half/third/quarter-cup measuring spoons. Is useful and fast for many things.

    You don't need a blender to make most spreads - can use a pan or bowl and a masher (then maybe a fork to whip up what you've mashed, depending).

    Better be genuine pie, too.
