  • What do you mean if you follow the guidelines and actually push it?

It works on a suffer score, from 1-10. Sure, you can take it easy, but if you follow the suffer score, keep the cadence where indicated (usually 90+) and burst/attack when the video says so, you end up with one hell of a workout.

I kill about 1200+ calories in the 60 min workout

  • Jesus, 1200 calories in 60 minutes?

  • I've never eaten breakfast in my adult life so it's replacement for me. Well, not really a replacement as it's a new concept consuming food in the morning.

Well, not food exactly but you know what I mean...
It works for me but obviously I might be an exception as I never ate in the morning previously.

I'd like something that would just keep me full to be honest. Had a bowl of porridge at 6am this morning and was hungry again by 10-1030. I haven't even exercised yet today.

With my new cycling distance (which I'd like to do 2x a week) I don't know how much I really should be eating to keep it up. If I'm getting hungry at the moment I'm going to be like a machine once I get back from cycling.

I'd like to start doing the suffer fest dvd's for the days I don't cycle to work just to keep up with some kind of exercise.

  • Promax diet works to keep hunger at bay till 12 for me as well, and that includes 5 miles and a gym session most mornings.

I do use half milk though....

  • I tried half milk after you mentioned it before. Gave me a horribly churning gut all day long!

  • hmm quite expensive though just for the sake of keeping me full. Isn't drinking green tea and taking whey protein doing the same thing? Would work out much cheaper!

  • Most likely, apparently promax is mostly branding that you're paying for. I like the taste tho and 1 serving a day works out cheaper than a morning coffee from starfucks if you get it on special offer. It's convenient more than anything I guess.
Of course, *don't *buy it from ebay seller golfer0791, as he is a scammer of the most obvious.
H&B had it for £30 for 1.2kg t'other week and I think that you can do better online. Maybe get one of the 600g tubs first to see if you like it. Strawberry tastes a little thin, choc was better imo, gonna go vanilla next.

  • Yep they've still got the £30 deal. Can't seem to beat it online to be honest.

Was thinking about buying the green tea extract and protein from my protein then mixing them together every morning. Not such a bad idea to be honest.

I'd probably be taking one of these shakes and porridge every morning.

  • Sounds like you'd be burning off the porridge without issue with your new commute.

  • Which will mean I'm hungry by 10am again, unless I eat porridge cycle to work then take the protein shake once I arrive (20 miles later) is that a bad idea? Will probably keep me going till at least lunch won't it?

  • Why not cycle to work then eat porridge/protein shake?

I happily run on an empty stomach, usually 5 -6 miles so up to an hour, and have done 13 miles in the past so don't see how 20 miles cycling would be much different....

  • That sounds like the best option I think.

My work sell porridge for £1 so on the days I cycle in it may well be worth buying some.

Also once I get home I'll be doing the old chocolate milk.

  • Lol, ebay scammer is still messaging me almost constantly. What a tool. Have reported him and marked him as spam. It's really hard not to react though I have to say.
I think porridge and shake on arrival is a good option. How much water do you drink? Also good for keeping you feeling full in the mornings. If you're riding in I'm sure you can easily get a litre or two in before you arrive, then with the shake and porridge you'll be laughing til lunch.

  • For cheap whey protein use myprotein.com

They also do this stuff called instant oats, check it out.

  • Of course, *don't *buy it from ebay seller golfer0791, as he is a scammer of the most obvious.

I received mine ok, only because I paid much more than you. He fucked you around, because he couldn't turn any profit.
He managed to prompt me 9 times in one day to pay for it. Prick.

Yeah my protein looks good. No idea what to actually buy though as theres loads of it on that website.

  • Gaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

    Frustration has set in...

I have been eating no more than 1000 cals a day mostly protien, smattering of slow relese complex carbs and a little fat and a little sugar.

Every day I do a 5km sprint to work, do a 5km run at lunch and then a 5km sprint home.

My weight wont shift from 65Kg.

I asked a dude at the gym and he said you are losing body fat but increasing lean muscle mass. This is would agree with but its nae fucking help filling in the LFGSS fattybooboom spreadsheet.

Any thoughts on how to lose kg without looking like a convict.

I have already dropped my calorie intake low enough to have made my sweat smell of ammonia which is my bodys way of telling me I have to eat more carbs.

    Any advice ?

  • What are you losing weight for? 65 kg is pretty low already.

I mean Contador is around 62 kg.

  • Why, do you have a goal weight to reach or something?

    ^ What he said

  • i lost a whole kilo from yesterday and i have a like 15 cupcakes today.

  • Nom. I saw some cream eggs in co-op earlier when I was buying grapes and had to restrain myself from nabbing a few.

    Grapes are better anyway.

  • in waitrose you get 6 for £1.50, to be honest if you go one a long ride on le road bike, they'll be good for energy.

  • Screw it! I've just had have a duck and roast potatoes.
I will do diet next week. Ordered those oats and a bag of whey protein and will live on shoes and fruit.

  • Not on shoes. On shakes, ffs!

  • I think porridge and shake on arrival is a good option. How much water do you drink? Also good for keeping you feeling full in the mornings. If you're riding in I'm sure you can easily get a litre or two in before you arrive, then with the shake and porridge you'll be laughing til lunch.

I drink plenty of water, usually have at least a pint by lunch then another during the afternoon and another with dinner.

With regards to the protein what should I be taking? Looking at my protein Impact Whey Protein seems like a good price, only 12.99 a kg. But is something like that good for weight loss/ recovery for cycling?
