  • 70.9kg this evening.

what an awesome week, need to keep it up another couple of weeks and i'll be done with this thread ;)

  • I can't seem to add myself to the spreadsheet. Is there a trick to it that I'm missing?

  • Nope should be straight forward enough. I'll update you for the chart in the morning once I'm on a pc.

  • Cheers fella

  • 71.1kg for the week for me, given that i was hoping to get into the 71s I'm pretty happy, just a teeny bit dissappointed it wasn't sub 71 as it was so close.

No reason why I can't reach target weight by the end of next week.

  • @ sparky, if you want to post weight and height I can add you into the spreadsheet, it should be easy though.

  • Good work Ed!
I'll see where I am over the weekend/ probably monday morning as I'm going to be without scales.
Really looking forward to a towpath run tmw and sunday though.

  • I know it's not sunday, but me and Liz are off for a weekend in a fully comped 5* hotel so will add our weights for this week today so I don't feel so bad next week when I've not moved/ballooned horribly.

  • I need to start developing the 'six pack', though in reality I don't really want one, just no flub.
Its proper hard to shift it, think I've got 3kgs extra there easy....
    (70.8 this morning)

This depends on age though. I used to always have a six-pack regardless of weight, as I carried all my extra weight on my legs. Now with age I can go from six-pack in the morning to small pot in the afternoon, as the upper stomach seems to be the new storage area of chioce.

My new top tip for fat loss/ muscle growth, is hurricane recovery. After clearing damaged trees for a weekend. I still feel like i'm in a calorie depisite, 5 days later.

  • My weight is 89.4kg at the moment. Which sheet am I supposed to enter it in? They all seem locked to me.

  • Oh, and height is ~6' 1"/2"

  • Enter your info in to sheet 1. I've locked up the chart data sheet as the data kept jumping around when people viewed it.

I've always carried it in the pot belly, I have very little fat deposition anywhere but centrally, and I find it properly hard to shift.
I've never had a 6 pack, even when I was competitive swimming.
Its developing a little now though- I can see the first tendinous intersection of the rectus abdominis, my linea semilunaris and alba, and the obliques seem to be becoming defined.

  • Core circuits.

10x inclined sit-ups (on one of those inclined bench things)
10x supermen (10 each side) (on swiss ball)
10x knee lifts (balanced vertically on fore arms)
10x upper body lifts (on a inclined bench that clamp the achilles)

Its not much. But once you've done 4 reps, it starts to really kick in.

  • My stomach seems to be where I've lost weight this week and can now see veins and the outline of the musles on the side top and bottom but not the middle, its got me feeling quite excited.

I've run enough today that I can eat and drink what I like for dinner but I'm now worried I won't enjoy it as it'll undo the progress I've made this week, can't wait for a cold glass of white wine though, oh and a steak and a whiskey.

Also found a picture of the night that triggered me to start loosing weight last night, its quite shocking - me 15 pints down on st paddies day 2006, was at least 100kg at the time...

    I do (10 x v sits, 10 x toe touch, 10 (counting 1234,2234etc)x sprint starts, 20x back extension, 20x cycles, 1 min plank, 20 plank to toes, 10 x pressup burpees) x3 every evening.
The exam didn't go well, so I won't be celebrating, but instead driving down to London

Ps ed- just got your email. I laughed a little cos it was from sainsbury's....
    anyhow, cheers.

  • I can't remember where I saw it, but I remember a table comparing all ab excercises.
For the time being, whilst I hunt it down:

  • I had my first- 'holy fuck- you've lost SO much weight today'
    Felt good.

  • Disappointing weight today, I thought lots of cycling this week would have had a bit of an effect, apparently not.

    Eating only shredded wheat today.
