Swaintoux it is then.
Anyone care to set a date? Well aware regardless of weight advantage most will destroy me.
No idea what my wattage is over a given time. -

If you are "bigger boned" then there might be more of you to resist the air, as it were, so I wouldn't completely disregard performance on the flat.
I think on a short climb Hippys massive power would see him comfortably win, a longer climb against a much lighter opponent might be different.

Use Hippy as a sail when you have a wind behind and twist his mind making him believe the climb is really longer than it is

Intriguing.
Swains is only .75mi bottom to top so thats me fucked then. Will just imagine that 30kg difference as an anchor dragging Hippy back down towards the graveyard after turning the corner where the real climb starts. Before he kills me with his power and bike handling ability. -

He could just sit on you, to save time.

most competitive hill climbs are only a mile or so long. thats plenty enough time for the skinny rider to get ahead.
where is Swains? I'm new in town and dont know my geography yet.

It's a beast of a training hill. The Flask and North's Drinks awaits you at the top though.

If in doubt, do it 24 times for added weight/fat loss.

Tl;Dr can someone summarise the competition for me, and is it open to entrants from outside of the smoke?
-

24 laps death tt(up swains, down highate west), competitors set off at 1 min intervals, geared and fixed, plus me and Stix keeping it gangster on a tandem.
Or 40 odd if your name is Scarlett and you're a fucking machine.
I've not been up Norths lately so out of climbing shape but def up for it again. Don't have a working tandem at the mo which sucks but could try and build the loprotarcktandem ready for it. -

ie. Object going up Zoncolan.

My mind is only concerned with trying to crush the opposition.

ie. Object going up Zoncolan.
Is there any noticeable difference on the flat, or is it simply a case of horsepower wins?

Everyone excited about 1st weigh in?
At bazchmaz, I have a feeling its illegal.
well that all depends if they are going uphill or not! power to weight is important uphill and power to friction/air resistance more important on the flat so its tricky to work out.
