I just ate some raw chicken, bad oysters, and some rotten badger flesh. Those scales are my bitch come morning.

I can only imaging the smell.

Is there any noticeable difference on the flat, or is it simply a case of horsepower wins?
Anything except 10-25% hour-long climbs and body modification I'd kick his arse.

So building leg muscle is the way to go

This is the weight loss thread. No building of anything except body image problems.

Big Chris knows a thing or two about building leg muscles

What I'm actually wondering is this- my FTP is ~240 watts at the moment.
I hit the scales at 76kg this morning.
My target for FTP is 320 (based on something I read on the Internet), will I notice a difference if I try to develop that power at 70kg, versus 75kg?
-
• #2463
I added myself too if thats all right, need to drop about 9kg for rock climbing.
-
• #2464
240-320W FTP = good luck with that.
Yeah. You'll be 5kg heavier when generating 80W more power.
-
• #2465
Yeah, well- as I said, you've got to have an aspirational target.
I have no idea what is attainable, really. I'd settle for being faster for longer.

Once my scales arrive from Amazon I will be joining the chart. I'm not morbidly obese but I want to get fitter and keeping a record of my weight will hopefully stop me from weeks of laziness and encourage me to eat better.

I'd like to go faster for longer, which is why is choose to use new GROW+ powerful penis performance powder.

(^^ Preamble to stop the outrage when I post my current weight as 54kg)
-
• #2469
^You think an increase of 80 watts is out of the question?
-
• #2470
No, I'm sure given some quality training and about 3 years you could hit that.
-
• #2471
I've got four and a half years before I need it, so that's cool.
-
• #2472
'Need' it?
-
• #2473
Aye.
Be interesting to see what I can get to by the end of the year, also.
-
• #2474
By the end of the year it will be winter again, you mean towards the end.
How did you get to 240W anyway, sounds too low. -

Going on Strava estimations, and some extrapolation of turbo data- I've not done an hours power run with the Powermeter though so it is a guess.
Hour and a half today, at an estimated 220 in zone 2.
Bear in mind that I've get weenie little legs compared to you- my minute power is ~450 watts, I imagine yours is 800+
I've got 45 fast miles planned for tomorrow- no breakfast and I'll leave the waterbottle at home, then hit the scales.
