The passenger was the more annoying one. Can't describe how irritating she was in the whole 20 seconds I was talking to them. Reported them anyway. Had a cyclist behind give some moral support saying the guy had just drifted over and was in the wrong so nice to know it wasn't me being precious

How you could get upset about being nearly run down by Cedric the Entertainer I'll never know.

ha, hadn't noticed that.
I had an email from the Roadsafe team asking if I had any photos so I have emailed them the above picture.
I really hope they get a call or a letter and it wipes their smug bloody grins off -

mespilus jr. cycling home from school,
two geezers in a 'Europcar' liveried Citroen Berlingo draw level with him,
holding up a stream of traffic,
and abuse him, ('F'-word, homophobic),
and take especial joy in abusing him for his Proviz yellow cycle helmet.(He has been primed for this.
He caught them up, when they were held up in the inevitable High Street traffic,
to ensure he had memorised the number plate).Completed the Met Police Roadsafe form,
and,
unluckily for our two twerps,
I know where the Europcar HQ is in Watford.
Receptionist kindly put me through to the Fleet Manager.
He was surprised to find a vehicle that should be available for hire
is being driven around the suburbs some 8 miles away!He asked me 'to leave it with him'.
I've emailed him to let him know I will be phoning him again on Friday afternoon. -

I ride past that HQ every day to work. I could probably shit on a few bonnets if requested.

Would rep etc,
Gold star for LFGSS,
where else on the 'net would a forumenger offer to shit on a few bonnets for you? What time do you normally pass the Europcar building on a Monday morning?
I'll join you and split the task! -

A reply from Roadsafe;
' have been victim of an aggravated Public Order Offence by the driver of the Citreon.'Suggests I take son to local Police station to report.

Just heard from a friend on Facebook. She's just reported a driver to the police. Basically, he drove up beside her, threw a bottle of some sort of liquid over her head then followed her swerving at her bike while shouting abuse and making threats to kill her. Registration G5 VNA, silver Mercedes-Benz c-class saloon new - only registered in Jan 2015, so keep a look out, sounds like a complete nutjob, and a dangerous one at that.

Thought I'd entertain you with this one.
Returning home (up hill) after a ride the other afternoon, the road was busy both ways, so I waited as long as I could for traffic from behind to pass, then took primary while making a very deliberate and exaggerated right turn signal.
Not good enough for young guy is sign written van, who insists on overtaking by swinging onto the opposite side of the (residential) road, nearly taking out an oncoming car, and my car that is parked outside my house.
Got the whole thing on video, reported it to Avon and Somerset's finest, got to have a chat with a nice WPC and leave a flash drive with vid.
Last night, WPC returned my flash drive and told me, advised by a colleague in traffic, that they were taking no action, would not be talking to the driver and in fact I was at fault!
I was advised that as I knew I had cars approaching me fast from behind (we are in a 20mph area), then I should have pulled to the left had side of the road and waited for the traffic to pass.
Needless to say, I politely disagreed.

Needless to say, I politely disagreed.
Ask them to put it in writing. Then get badge number then lodge official complaint.

politely disagree back and report to superiors

I'm with @howard, and @hairnetnic, sad to say that some police officers seem to hold the same views as some of the more moronic drivers out there.
Had another interaction (disagreement) with a motorcyclist yesterday as I filtered through rush hour traffic heading towards the kings road. I'm on the right of traffic, but still in my lane, not having crossed over the white lane divider, courier on motorbike hooning it towards me, filtering between traffic, who has crossed over white lane divider, so in my lane, seems to feel I should move aside to let him pass, tells me there are two fucking gutters to ride in and should stay there. I tell him to get into his own fucking lane and go the fuck around.
Would have the exchange again...

The nice WPC told me that I was in the wrong as it was in the Highway Code.
I think the traffic officer who had advised her meant this.

On the right. If you are turning right, check the traffic to ensure it is safe, then signal and move to the centre of the road. Wait until there is a safe gap in the oncoming traffic and give a final look before completing the turn. It may be safer to wait on the left until there is a safe gap or to dismount and push your cycle across the road. -

Ah the old MUST / DO NOT / Should / it may be conundrum
I suspect the traffic behind you broke a 'DO NOT' rule
'167
*DO NOT overtake where you might come into conflict with other road users. For example
approaching or at a road junction on either side of the road where the road narrows when approaching a school crossing patrol between the kerb and a bus or tram when it is at a stop where traffic is queuing at junctions or road works when you would force another road user to swerve or slow down'*
Tell them to get fucked and lodge a complaint.

I suspect some forces may be reluctant to start issuing FPNs based on helmet cam footage. I'm not sure if they're worried about self-appointed traffic cops or something, they don't want to start going down that road.
-
• #5899
nah, was riding back home after doing a quick trip to the local chinese, pulled away from the kerb into light traffic, black 4x4 behind me, quick shoulder check, move over to the right side of the lane as I'm turning right at the next junction.
4x4 rolls up beside me, lot of police in uniform inside (think they were gun cops), and the driver tells me that I didn't look or indicate to move to the right side of the road, should be on the left yadda red light jumping yadda something else yadda.I bit my tongue, doffed a forelock and went to eat my rapidly cooling special fried rice..

Highway code is a set of guidelines based on all the various traffic laws. It's useful for explaining the standards expected of roadusers but in itself doesn't explain the law they would have broken. Even then the laws have so little variation in charges they can raise you either have to drive like an out and out cunt to get into careless driving territory or they won't do anything as the lower FPNs depend on breath tests, speed guns, cameras, phone records and so on so it's not challenged.
If they charged everyone I uploaded jumping lights while driving or driving on the pavement or whatever it's easily 2+ a day roadsafe reports I put in. I'd have my own traffic unit cleaning up behind me as I cycle, can think of a dozen other cammers I see often when riding, that sure is lots of footage. They cherry pick to match the resources they have which makes sense.
I also have had one "you cycled wrong" email. I responded explaining my decisions and why what they said would put me in danger and they never replied.
Snake eyes.
