HSPA is 4G mobile internet connection, but only EE have it in the UK atm.

HSPA isn't 4G, its the fastest option below that, available on all major UK networks. LTE is 4G that you can only get on EE.

I hated the look of the g1 haha, but loved the apps and such!

Many of the UK carriers have been mumbling a few months ago about having Dual-Carrier HSPA+ at 42Mbps "by the end of the year", but there have been no big announcements, probably because they want an LTE-related cash injection.

Cheap 42mbps is probably more attractive than the expensive small allowances on LTE.

And the Nexus 4 won't do LTE anyway.
