Google is still saying tomorrow.
I'm assuming it's going to be USA time though, so probably mid-afternoon for us.
I would like it if I could buy one over the counter though. Waiting for delivery will suck.

This article lead me to understand that a £25 voucher for the Asus shop is being offered to all those who bought their Nexus 7's pre price drop. Not that you can buy much but a cover with it, but I thought that it might tempt some people
There are a few hoops to jump though, listed here
http://event.asus.com/2012/tablet/nexus_7/Hopefully some more of us can now enjoy the generosity of Asus/Google :)

I've been hunting around to see if i can get a guestimate of the Nexus4 order time, to plan my day tomorrow.
If they aline it with one time zone I'm guessing it will be PST, so that would make it 8am here (Which fits with the launch at the O2 if you want one on a overpriced contract (But if you are amongst the first in the queue apparently you get to go up the O2 and get a LG tv))
However if its CET, at midnight, we could order at 11pm tonight...
...But i doubt that will happen, and its more likely to be a case of hitting refresh on the play store every 10 mins through the day

If I can get a Nexus 4 anyone want a Galaxy Nexus in VGC - boxed, very clean, screen perfect?
Say £150 plus postage?

Basically what I found out too. I'm hoping some more info is given out today, but if not, I'm sitting down, ready to order from 22:45-00:15, then trying again in the morning.

Best android tablet at the market for around 200ish?
-
• #9508
If you don't need TV out, Nexus 7 32GB
(if you do, HTFU, and get a Nexus 7 anyway) -
• #9509
Nexus 7 you can buy it for £150 16gb now and still have £50 left over!!
-
• #9510
Isn't there a way of using the nexus 7 on a tv though?
-
• #9511
Hahah. It's for the boyface, but probably go with 32gb as been saving for a while.
Best place then? I can get it from PC world but if there's better places..?

• #9512
Google shop or ebuyer - maybe even tesco since there's some £10 off and new customer discounts floating around on the tinterweb.

So the motorola zoom and the samsung galaxy tab not match up to nexus?
-
• #9514
Mmm there's also Nexus 10 but expensive with 16GB :|
What the shit is "HSPA+ 21"
-
• #9515
HSPA is 4G mobile internet connection, but only EE have it in the UK atm.
I had an absolute mare getting my Nexus 7 from Ebuyer last week, two orders both failed to arrive, ended up getting it (cheaper too) from Carphone Warehouse
-
• #9516
Says simfree from carphone warehouse? What sim would I need for it? Ha Im new to tablets, sorry.
-
• #9517
Zoom is 10 inch isn't it? Guess that comes down to what size you'd like.
After using my parents nexus 7 I'd stump for one of them. They hinted about it for Christmas but as I'm buying a house it'll probably be pots of paint under the tree for me.
-
• #9518
^^ Any (micro?)sim will work, but if you want to utilise the 4G connection you'd have to sign up with Everything Everywhere, anything else will work with normal 3G internet

Thanks you two. It sounds like Nexus is more of a hit with you guys so probably will go with that, perhaps from carphone warehouse, think there's one in town.
Ps. 4 more months before I can finally upgrade my own damn phone. Mum's S3 has got me jealous of my sensation!

The nexus 7 was being advertised with £20 of cashback at Currys last night, but that's only if you get it with a case, which seems to cost £25. So you might tbe able to get a case for £5 if you get it from there...
The Nexus 7's are currently wifi only, you can't use them over the mobile networks, if you want to do that, you would need one that can take a sim, but it's likely to be more expensive.

^^ NP. I'm loving it tbh, trying to get my mum to use it, and she's slowly getting it. Although the first night (when I was out) she was stumped by the lock-screen doh!
I think getting the newest versions of Android straight off the bat is what has swung it for me tbh!

I'm definitely an android girl have been two years now, got my mum on her 2nd android phone, and J on his third :D
Just have a need for a new handset :P Plus Im desperate to jump ship from Vodafone to O2 as o2 despite its problems has the strongest reception where I currently live.
Plus altho getting the tablet for the boyf, I plan to nick it when its not in use.

Nexus 7 has the best form factor of any tablet I've used. It trumps on the iPad in that department. I'd imagine an iPad mini is easy enough to use though.
Was talking to someone last night about the nexus 7 and they couldn't believe it was so cheap!

^^ I've been Android for nearly 4 years :)
(incidentally, people are still selling the HTC magic for £70 on ebay!)(gah, third post in a row I've had to add ^^ as people sneak in before me. Slow today)
So anyone have any more info on the release of the Nexus 4 - is it available to order from tomorrow still?
