  • I'm due an upgrade with o2 and i'm looking for some advice as to what I should be aiming for.

I think I want the HTC One X, which on Three is £29/month with a £29 upfront charge, which is okay.

Should I be expecting o2 to match that or to better it, or what? I've been with them (and had the same SIM card) since they were BT Genie. They owe me one I reckon. What's the minimum I should be looking for?

  • Wait and get a Nexus.

  • DEATH DOME
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.glu.ddome

The most amazing looking fighting game, and at 453MB, it bloody well should be. Amazing for a free game.

  • Kindle Application users- if you are dismayed at new books not showing up on your Android device fear not, simply log in to "Manage my Kindle" and send the book to your Android device.

Annoying, but the only way to get around this undocumented feature in the Kindle Application.

  • My phone is in a bag of rice... My Gore Pac-lite jacket turned out to be not that waterproof... Cuntz...

  • My HTC Sensation with CM9 has started turning off randomly and having issues recieving texts. Anyone else found this or have i just dropped it one too many times..

My turn offy rebooting issues were sorted by reformatting SD card.

  • Wait and get a Nexus.

    any dates?

Same with my one. They tend to only hold their waterproof for 3-4 years and then I was soaked through.

    any dates?

Announced in a week or two, available in November is the rumour.

  • Phone dead... Bollox...

  • Just in time for the new nexus'.

  • £$€¥!!!
I've just splurged on a new road bike... :(

  • And my contract isn't up for another seven months... Gah!

  • U haz insurance?

  • Nope, gonna head up to a hole-in-the-wall place I know in Brixton, let's see if they can fix it... Proper little magicians with phones, those guys...

  • I think im gonna get me a nexus

  • Is it gonna be LG though? sad face

  • Or a Sony...

The 'best' they could do for me, after being a customer for over ten years, was a £32/month contract giving me 600 mins and 500mb of data, with a £59.99 upfront charge.

    After 40 mins on hold.

I am leaving them out of principle.

Where do I go now? Can someone help me get a good deal because I'm clearly shit at this. I want a good phone, like an HTC One X, I don't need to wait for a Nexus because I need a new phone ASAP.

I also don't want to pay much more than £30/month and as little an upfront charge as possible.

  • http://www.mobilephonechecker.co.uk/ was quite good when I was looking.

http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/phones/Compare-cheap-Samsung-galaxy-s-s2-s is a new tool for finding cheap Galaxy phones, but I've not tried it.

  • That's fucking disgusting. Three are doing the one X for 30 quid upfront, 34 per month with unlimited data...

  • There's better deals through mobiles.co.uk, including 300mins/Unltd text/750M with 6 months free on T-mobile for £26 per month with no upfront fee.

Do remember to cancel the insurance and gadget helpline before the free period expires, or they will charge £12 a month for them.

    EDIT: that's for the One-X

  • I'm on £18pcm including all 08XX numbers, oversees calls, more data/calls/texts than I can ever hope to use... Totally locked in...
