  • Anyone have an Android phone they dont need anymore for sale? Like TS I got my water in mine and now i'm having reception problems.

  • Turns out my problem wasn't water after all... I wiped out on Friday night and managed to kill the battery as well as the touchscreen, back on my Hero for the next week while the Sensation gets fixed... Quite enjoying a smaller handset TBH...

  • Always liked the design of the hero but the internals are the same as the G1. Vintage.

  • I looked at the SIII - its beautiful... Now to try resist until the nexus comes out. Better be worth the wait.

  • ^^ Mine survived being dunked in the Thames, although after another year-ish of use it slowly died. Still prefer that form factor

  • There is a new S3 as well, the mini-S3

    You're so mainstream...

  • Serious question... Best Android ≠ phablet? I'm liking the smaller phone experience...
    Everyone's gone big-screen, haven't they?

Probably the One-V, but that's a bit of a guess. LH wants a phone to replace your old Desire Z and one of the requirements is that it fits easily into small pockets. The other is that it has an excellent camera. This is not an easy combination.

  • Yeah, I'm loving my xperia go. Not too big and waterproof.

Have a big tablet at home fro when I need to do anything serious, don't see the need for a super phone.

The One V looks pretty nice... Think I'll go out for a bit of a window shop this lunchtime...
The Desire Z is an awesome phone, still miss it...

  • I'm loving my Asus transformer, screen is awesome and I can do so much more with it.
So glad I defected from ibad.

Internally, the mini-S3 is nothing like the S3, it's a lower class of offering.

The Note 2 on the other hand is essentially a bigger S3.

    Their branding scheme is silly.

  • The 'best' they could do for me, after being a customer for over ten years, was a £32/month contract giving me 600 mins and 500mb of data, with a £59.99 upfront charge.

    After 40 mins on hold.

I am leaving them out of principle.

Where do I go now? Can someone help me get a good deal because I'm clearly shit at this. I want a good phone, like an HTC One X, I don't need to wait for a Nexus because I need a new phone ASAP.

I also don't want to pay much more than £30/month and as little an upfront charge as possible.

I used http://www.omio.com/ last time I switched, got a great deal, involved a cashback thing, but that was super easy to claim.

  • OK... The Hero's beginning to piss me off now, I want my Sensation back...

I have been using the Xperia Ray since christmas. Smaller handset, middle of the range, sensible price, runs 4.0.4. Can be used to tether to laptop or tablet. Does everything I want. This years incarnation is called the Xperia U and it's under £200 offline!

  • i got my 1X on buymobilesnet £26/m no upfront, £30 cash back.
100m/500t(might actually be unlimited) 1.5g data plan

  • Carphone Warehouse has jumped the gun, putting the LG Nexus 4 up for pre-order on its website.

    http://crave.cnet.co.uk/mobiles/lg-nexus-4-pre-order-goes-live-early-for-30-october-delivery-50009588/

However the links not on their site now. It was only showing a 8gb one, I'm hoping that they have more storage options on the release date though, tempted to move from apple for one...

  • 12 hours battery life eh?

  • 12 hours battery life eh?

    You muppet.

Talk time... 12 hours of talking time.

Compare to iPhone 5 which offers 8 hours of talk time.

  • Now I will have to decide between the LG Nexus 4, and the Galaxy Note II. TBH, technology is blazing ahead at such a pace, I can only wonder what the top end Android phones will be capable of in 2013.

  • Same stuff, just more quickly.

  • And death rays.

  • LG
