I'd be a bit hesitant to buy a very slim phone with 2GB of RAM, as I think the heat produced would be very significant. Slimness is great for pockets, but not for heat dissipation.

WOW, thanks bud, that's so much better now.
Love the rom btw, so smooth, runs really fast.
Really don't know what i would do if the Z packed it in, i'd probably get another one, or the Cha Cha (i know it looks dumb, but it has a keyboard and looks like it will take a beating)
No problem, things like that annoy me so I test the fuck out of stuff until I find the source.
I'm with you there, the Cha Cha is totally up my street, as lame as it may be. Loving keyboards.
Also, have you noticed that this ROM has messed up the auto shift and fn turn off on the hardware keyboard? It's the only last thing frustrating me. I don't know if it's a setting or option I haven't checked. The soft keyboard works fine. It's odd since it's supposed to be a Z specific ROM.

As in the fn and shift functions don't turn off after use (single button press)?
Mine do that just fine..

Apparently 4.1 just hit vodafone.

Yeah, eg if I press fn once to type a 9, it doesn't turn fn back off after typing the 9, it keeps it on. Mega infuriating. It doesn't turn it off after you leave an app or text entry either, so you start typing a text reply and it's all numbers and symbols!
I think I might have to re-install if you don't have the same problem.

It says it will use tegra 3 but I'd have thought itd need a descrete graphics chip to be a standalone console.

I'm fed up of not being able to search for specific tracks on the Desire HD's stick music player. I've been having the problem since I updated software a while back. Does anyone know of any quick fixes please?

Why not just install a non-stock media player? There are loads.
-
• #8162
That was my next option. Was just hoping someone might have a "just enable....." option. I'm about to do a search. Any recommendations?

I'm a visual person, not so much of an aural person, so I am more attuned to movies than music. But one music player I have on my phone is MixZing Basic. It does the job.

Everyone will recommend something different, but for me PowerAmp is great

Winamp.
I remember using this back in the day on Windows. Is it still as good as it used to be?
-
• #8167
It's exactly the same as it used to be.

It's why I still use it over a decade on.

It's exactly the same as it used to be.
Is that a good thing though?

Anyone else preorderd a nexus 7?
At that price they seem like a no brainier to me.
-
• #8171
I've been debating it but can't see what I use it for ?
-
• #8172
Very tempted by it. Probably go and pick one up from a shop, try and have a play around with one first.

pity it only has a front facing camera
-
• #8174
Why is that a pity spotter? Would you really use the camera?

Thinking of getting my dad one for his birthday- he would like a tablet and at that price range I don't think it can be beaten.
Might even pick one up for myself.
Looks like they're rolling it out to a few first before releasing it to everyone.
I'm keeping an eye out here, should be a lot more posts when it starts rolling out to everyone
