think that 7" Nexus tablet could become the one tablet to rule all - particularly if they wise up and stick SD storage on the next revision

I like having a camera on everything possible, never know what you'll want to take a photo of. that being said though it might have have made it less affordable
I really think that taking a photo with a tablet is the most twattish way you could possibly go about doing it. Maybe not so bad on a 7", but with a 10" you're just going to look like an absolute fool.

^ yeah saw a group of people doing this not so long ago with iPads......eh?! it looks so stupid

Also, I can't really think of many situations where I'd have a tablet with me but not a phone.

Anyone else preorderd a nexus 7?
At that price they seem like a no brainier to me.
Not yet, going to wait for the 16GB one. Apparently PCWorld will be selling them next week. So I wanted to test a few things out before buying.

Yeah that is one of the annoyances is the missing SD slot. The Nexus 7 supports USB host mode, meaning you can plug in joypads, keyboards and mice etc. I have a 3G stick which has a microSD card on it. Apparently it should work with Android. Having a dongle hanging off a tab might look a little shit, but it will at least. Give me those 2 missing features, hopefully. If it doesn't then Dropbox and Phone tethering it is then.
Speaking of phones I upgraded my Ray to ICS a few weeks back. The little improvements are obvious in the UI. Seems a little whizzier. Using Chrome as my browser, which I really like. The new notification screen is ace.

Cheers. Mixzing might not do it for me. It wouldn't let me search within the track from my bluetooth headphones. Will find winamp and poweramp a go when I get home later

Jellybean OTA coming down for me right now

Just got it too. Everything definitely feels faster and more polished. Going to have a bit of a play around with Google now. Also I like that the new keyboard predicts what your next word might be.

Fade, check out swiftkey... it's been doing that for ages (and a lot more)

Rumours are that the S3 will get JellyBean in Q4. Not sure I should believe them.

I'm going to root and install the inevitable hacked roms that are probably online as we type.

Soon....
Not sure I like the signature unlock bit. I can't use the phone in portrait mode whilst moving so have a pattern unlock -

I played around with it for a while, but eventually changed back to the standard keyboard. Maybe I didn't give it enough of a chance

Also Facebook contact sync appears to be back through the new accounts section. Don't really know how well it works though seeing as I've been using haxsync up until now

Jellybean is much faster and smoother and the notification area looks very nice - I am impressed

Just started using the GO voice feature in GO SMS Pro. It's brilliant, you basically send audio text messages. Works best if the other person has go sms pro as well. Unlimited data probably a plus too.
One interesting thing is that if you leave the conversation open on your phone the messages play automatically. A bit like a phone, I suppose.

Got jellybean last night but haven't had a chance to play with it properly until now. Its definitely very smooth. Interested to see how Google now leans my habits - I removed the tinfoil head gear and allowed it to use my location data.
Also I've noticed the keyboard seems to make less mistakes...

Has anyone had any difficulties with Skype on their android phone?
A week ago it was working perfectly in Jakarta (using an indonesian SIM, HTC sensation XE). Now I'm in Palangkaraya and it's stopped. I had wondered if it was an issue of signal strength but it seems equally (totally) useless even when the phone is connected to a strong wifi connection.
Does anyone else have any experience? It's frustrating because my indonesian SIM refuses to text to contact peru either, so skype (via my phone) is my primary means of keeping in contact with my girlfriend for the next 3 months.

I like the new notifications, but I kind of wish you could expand/collapse them with one finger, using two feels a bit clumsy and means I have to use two hands as well.
