Edit: oh god i'm miles too far east. 30-35, according to that map anyway.
Edit2: or 80-85 if you are a young rudeboy in a hatchback with your mates, obv

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cellular_frequencies#United_States_Carrier_Frequency_Use
GSM @ 1900MHz should give you 2G on all carriers, except that Verizon and Sprint use CDMA (device-keyed) rather than SIM-based GSM.
UMTS @ 2100MHz only matches T-Mobile's AWS network.

So, my best bet is to get a US SIM that's not Verizon or Sprint? Any suggestions for alternatives?
-
• #63863
Get a T-Mobile SIM so you can access data and use google maps etc.

It's for use during a race so I only need it for calls and maybe texts. Although I guess we should get data equipped SIMs for our smartphones.
Thanks

Right I've just about lost all patience.
Has anyone got a long one of these that I can borrow? (Front brake caliper nut)
I've been waiting 3 bloody weeks for the one I ordered to turn up (seller failed to tell me he was in Belgium) and I can't go any longer without riding the bike.Needs to be 31mm or more in length. Preferably located in SE, or W or central London.

Anybody had much experience making a coke can shim for bars/stem?
-
• #63875
Don't.
You can get away with it for a seatpost because if you get it wrong, your seatpost just slips down or rotates.
If a bar shim doesn't work properly your bars could suddenly rotate mid-corner and you will faceplant. (Assuming drops, bullhorns etc)
Anyone know what the speed limit is for Morval Road/Dulwich Road?
