What is the best single speed tensioner for use on a thru-axle, hardtail?
Looking for something with sealed bearings in the jockey wheels.

Unpopular opinion;
Any good derailleur … -
• #124929
I think derrailer as tensioner is the #testerapproved option

Like Chaley says, just using a derailleur works well if you don't care about the looks.
If you're determined to spend money, the SB ONE Boner is a nice German machined bit of bling. I used one on a single speed dh bike for a while. They done a slightly cheaper collab with Reverse components too. Still pricey though.
If you're handy with a hammer and punch you could go 'Zingle Speed' with an old Shimano Zee derailleur like this

I found the Shimano Alfine tensioner to work well.

Thanks. Looking for something low profile and lightweight.
Any opinions on the options by Surly, Gusset or others?
-
• #124933
I never had any problems with the surly one, especially in push -up mode.

Another thumbs for my surly.
(Do as I say not as I do)

Correct spelling of dérailleur and underscore between words in tags is #tester_approved 🙂

I asked the other day but I’m trying again.
I heard that there’s a Palestinian solidarity bike ride happening in London on the 11th.
Does anyone know the details like when and where? -
• #124937
Ha! I knew you were going to get me on the spelling. There are a few words I always spell wrong, that being one.

I knew you were going to get me on the spelling.
It's important 🙂

Here is a question:
is it worth buying a new floor nozzle to replace the broked one on my shark upright? Or do I buy a new/better vacuum? Which one? -

Henry/Hetty/Non-gendered numatic hoover.
-
• #124941
Wait, can I use a bog standard or a Henry extra fitted to a sanding device?

What's a good website to put in a date range and get cheap flights for that range? Looking for ideas for travel for a specific time obvs and would be neat to fill seats on existing flight. Last minute still a thing or is that just normal travel booking these days?

Skyscanner is what we use at work.

You can have all kinds of fun with them.

Thought that only worked if you knew the destination?
-
• #124947
I'll have another look, thanks both.

Google Flights is good.

kayak.co.uk might do that

Bog standard with the Henry bags.
And you can fuck right off to the watch thread with statements like that. (That is a joke, as I I'm the polar opposite of that thread)
