  • Magnets.

  • Best way to send a frame across the country?

If there's already a thread about it, like? Can't find one.

  • Magnets.

    Only works for steel frames

  • Magic magnets..

  • A phone related question:

If my iPhone needs time to think when making a call - I dial a number, and it says calling for a long time, when I try end the call, it won't do it. Signals are fine and there is nothing wrong with the person I am calling, coz whenever it happens, I try calling my landline. The only way to resolve it is to restart the phone. Is it a problem with the phone itself or a problem with the sim? Coz I think by resetting the phone also resets the network, right?

  • No, resetting the phone has no effect on the network.

It is very unlikely to be a problem with the SIM. It could be a memory problem, i.e. you have lots of apps running in the background using up memory, or it could be a problem with the baseband software and the interactions between it and the main OS. These type of bugs are notoriously difficult to identify and fix.

  • Would resetting the phone be any help? Coz to be honest, I only use my phone as a phone these days, I hardly run any apps on it.

  • Have you updated the software recently? If not, then that may help.

  • I know a good shop in Kentish Town that would be able to help you.

Probably, hard reset it (hold down the home and power buttons for a while until it completely shuts down) rather than turning it off and on. Also, what Andy said about updating the software. I had a similar problem once with mine, I couldn't make or receive calls. Hard reset fixed it and it hasn't happened again.

  • cool thanks guys, will do both and see if the problem would just go away.

Thanks for the heads up fussballclub, I am not too keen on paying to fix the problem at the moment.

  • My iPhone does that occasionally. Maybe once a month. Seems to be ok otherwise. Due for an upgrade soon, so I am not too worried. Maybe its an iPhone thing ?

  • Is anyone travelling to the US and back again any time soon?

I have a purchase to transport from there to here that I'd rather avoid paying duty on.

How big and or heavy is it? I have a few things delivered here quite regularly. If you can have it delivered within the US, I can get it shipped over so long as it doesn't add a lot of weight or size to the container (not a shipping container)

  • Pair of Rotor 3D+ cranks, PC-7 head unit.

  • should be fine, but it will be a while, my current delivery is en route, next one won't be for three weeks

  • That would be cool, thanks.

I shall run it past the seller.

Out of interest, has anyone had a parcel marked down to a value and been charged more? Or do Customs and Excise just go on the marked value?

The reason I ask is that the parcel will need to be insured for it's actual value, if it is posted.

  • Only if they open it.

  • If they open it then they'd find cranks. They'd have to know what they were looking for to know that an SRM spider was worth a couple of quid.

They believe the marked value if it is credible. Postal inspectors aren't completely stupid, but they also don't know how much you're prepared to overpay for boutique cranks compared with superior mass produced ones. Note that it is inducing a consigner to understate the value of a consignment on the customs declaration that is an offence,. i.e. the accuracy of the Customs Declaration is your legal responsibility, and if they think it is wrong and that you have engaged in dishonest conduct in order to evade duty, you're on the hook for the fines and imprisonment, not the sender.

  • I wouldn't call Rotor boutique.

  • Why won't Chrome download?

  • I wouldn't call Rotor boutique.

How many cranksets do Rotor make every year? How many do Tien Hsin Industries make every day?
