How many cranksets do Rotor make every year? How many do Tien Hsin Industries make every day?
No idea. However Rotor are not made by a starving artisan in a barn stuffed with CNC lathes looted from ex-Soviet facilities in the Urals, they're knocked out by a factory in, quite possibly, Taiwan.
Hence, not boutique. Cheap compared to DA, also.

And this is beside the point- the point being a stonking deal on a modern SRM crankset with head unit.
The cranks are the supporting man in this cast.

Odd. It suddenly appeared after it stalled out for ages. Something else hogging bandwidth methinks.

The chain on my KM snapped on the middle of Clerkenwell Road on Thursday. Second time this week. I'm guessing that's a sign.
So I need a 3/32 chain (8/9/10). The variation in price is not conductive to me being able to make a decision. Someone tell me what to do.
-
• #40818
So do you need a 3/32nd, and 8spd, a 9spd or a 10spd? They're all different widths.

Sorry, 8 speed on 9 speed casette.
Another question: anyone know of any decent short/mid length documentaries dealing with the REACTION to climate change? I.e., I'm not concerned with stuff arguing that climate change is real, but instead something that looks at the problems confronting the world as the world attempts to confront climate change. And/or a decent piece showing the history of the idea.
I'm youtubing stuff and hitting major NGOs web pages, but thought it would be worth a chance to ask you jerk bags.

Jerk bags? Well, I never......

Suck it up jerk bag and do my work for me.

Anything you do find is going to be 95% polemic and 5% science, is that what you need?
-
• #40823
I would ask an IT consultant.
They know more about climate change than anybody else.

That's the trouble with a lot of climate change 'debate' - no economics. A few right wing nutters have pointed out what a dumb idea it is to ignore economics, but as far as I can see all of the politicians, scientists and NGOs have big vested interests in doing something (anything), because the economically literate solution of doing next to nothing leaves them out of the loop, and therefore cut off from the power and money they crave far above any desire to do any good.

I would kill an IT consultant.
They do more to cause climate change than anybody else.
