Just put a new chain on the road bike and took it for a spin, and lots of jumping under load. Then I remembered that cassette had already been used for 2 chains not one.
So current (worn out) cassette is a DA 7900 11-27.
Cranks DA 7900, new chain is a KMC x10-93.
Should I just get the same cassette again - or is there any alternative of similar quality/weight for a fraction less?
DA cassette I can find at CRC for £135, any other suggestions?

Ultegra works as well as DA, obviously weighs quite a bit more if that matters to you.

50g weight difference, so a large gulp of water
are the ultegra ones more durable too?
but, i have already split the chain, ultegra only comes in 11-28, will that extra tooth require a link to be put back into the chain?
-

One more tooth = half a link.

Unless you have cut the chain super tight, you'll probably be OK, but check before riding just in case you ever accidentally select the big/big combo. I know it sounds unlikely, but desperate times on a hill that takes you by surprise is not the time to rip your dérailleur off!

I have Deda Pista bars with these dimensions, c-t-c:
W 400mm
D 173mm
L 109mm
Clamp 31.8mmI want an aluminium track bar with these dimensions:
W 360-380mm
D >150mm
L >90mm
Clamp 31.8mmi.e. I don't want to lash out £175 on Alpina Carbon and then find I don't like skinny bars. I don't want steel, and I don't want to have to shim my stem to take 26 or 25.4 bars. Am I S.O.L?

Cheers, didn't see any oversize Nitto everywhere I looked. Last time I bought from Ben's though, the shipping etc. was steep and that was just on a couple of crack pipes, so $100 + shipping + VAT + duty is not going to be so much less than the Alpina!
TFG haz them

Londoners, after bills, taxes, rent, travel for commuting...
Is it possibly to live off £100 a week (maybe £130 depending on a few things) this is living in camden...
(not a permanent situation.. 12 months on placement from university in manchester so i dont need to save for the future etc etc) -

So the only things you'll really need from your £100 a week is food and entertainment? Definitely, that'll be fine.

Unfortunately the clamp area on these isn't wide enough for the madness that is a Pro Vibe track stem.
Balls. I'm guessing my Look HSD is going to overhang the narrow bulge too.

Where can I get some white crocheted track mitts with white leather palms? I have a great black pair that were £4 on eBay but can't find their white counterpart.
