Pick a methodology.
Ignore it.
Time / resource / budget planning, QA plan, communications plan, done.
PM me your email address for a "10 minute guide to project management" pdf.
I'd like to see this too ^

sausagefingers trolling with Eastenders plotlines
Ah, so that's what it was. I thought it must be a film; StarWars or some such that I have never seen.
-
• #18432
StarWars is about gay Eastend boxers isn't it?

Does any online retailer in Europe sell the Cannondale SuperX frame and forks only?
Edwardes ordered my Hollowgram cranks- they can get anything ordered over from the states via the Netherlands.
Otherwise might be worth sending this lot an email?

Thanks. The German fellas do the frameset for the same price as a complete bike (if you shop around). That may aid my decision.
-
• #18439
Hah- not much of a decision then!
When I was seraching for the best price for my cranks I called around a lot of places- most of them (On Your Bike, for example) didn't know what the cranks were and suggested I bought them "off the internet as i don't think we can get them".
Edwardes took my number, called Cannondale Netherlands, called me back and after a discussion on what they could do about the price (I got a good deal, including the specialist tools) I ordered them and put down a deposit over the phone.
I was impressed- I think I paid £200 under list all in.
Worth a shot- if you tell them what you've seen the frame for elsewhere I am sure they will provide a compelling reason to order from them.

"Your Bike is on the build list in the Work shop. Your bike needs to be built, safety checked and packaged for dispatch to you. Please allow 5-9 working days for this due to the high volume of bikes at the moment."
Doh. -

Just received this text:
It came from xxxxxxxxxx
What type of scam is it?
Just had a text from a friend. She had given someone my number from her contacts rather than the number of "Clive the caretaker". All innocent after all. Mystery solved.

That's what they want you to think, Clive

Helle there...
Do you think that a single speed bike is ok for london?
Sorry if the q sounds a bit stupid or something...
The thing is that I want to buy a bike at around 150-200pounds for going tothe University and close by...
And i was thinking of buying something like this :http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/320764574864?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

The LONDON fixed gear and SINGLE SPEED forum probably thinks single speed is ok for London.
Do NOT by that bike; it is crap. It is basically a Create - put that word in to the Search and you will see why it is a very bad buy.
Use the search here, have a look at OTP (off the peg) bikes, read around. -
• #18446
I am trying to find things on OTPtopics...
The thing is that i want something simple and cheap because cannot stand the chance of buying a new and expensive one and be stolen from me...I had a CUBE ANALOGDISK back home and it was stolen 4 moths after I bought it...It was brand new (aprox 700 euros ...:( )
-
• #18447
Well, even though it is cheap the bike you linked to is still the kind that gets stolen a lot. So having a good quality lock should be part of your budget.
Lots of good quality bikes come up for sale on the Classifieds section. Just make sure it is the right size.
You can spend £185 on that e-bay bike and then have to spend £££s getting it repaired when it breaks down or spend a little more for something off the forum that will be reliable.
There is only so much general advice anyone can give you. Read up, learn a little and be patient and you will find a bike that is good for you. -

Seat post clamps.
Bastard seat post clamps.
I have a 27.2mm seatpost, which slots into the seat tube like a snugly fitting slotty in thing.
I buy a 31.8mm seat post clamp.
Does it fit? Chance would be a fine thing. It's slacker that an slackly fitting wrap around and tighten thing.
So I buy a 28.6mm seat post clamp.
No go. Too tight. And I've run out of ways to describe just how tight.
Where to now, dear sweet forum.
Where to now?
I have a 29.8 clamp for a 27.2 seatpost. Yours if you make it wests.
