  • There are many factors to consider, fat being just one of them.

  • you are getting older. decline is inevitable.

  • Hah- not much of a decision then!

When I was seraching for the best price for my cranks I called around a lot of places- most of them (On Your Bike, for example) didn't know what the cranks were and suggested I bought them "off the internet as i don't think we can get them".

Edwardes took my number, called Cannondale Netherlands, called me back and after a discussion on what they could do about the price (I got a good deal, including the specialist tools) I ordered them and put down a deposit over the phone.

I was impressed- I think I paid £200 under list all in.

Worth a shot- if you tell them what you've seen the frame for elsewhere I am sure they will provide a compelling reason to order from them.

I've analysed the financials in a spreadsheet and it makes more sense to buy a complete bike and sell the parts I don't need than buying a frame and forks. Just need to make the decision to pull the trigger now. Oh, and sell a bike to make space.

    Sugar coat it, Tom.

  • I'm still interested in the wheels we discussed, I'd need to find out how much the rebuild would come to still however.

  • Why am I getting slower?

I got overtaken by the entire Dulwich running club on my way home this evening. (While running, I should clarify, rather than cycling, though that would probably be plausible too.) Run near me, you'll feel much better about yourself.

  • Well I'll be running the same route on Friday night, you are welcome to put that to the test, but I suspect you will be in the pub like a normal person.

Is it because I am fat?

    You forgot your bike.

  • Where do places like the Australia Shop get their Cherry Ripes from? I must be able to import these in bulk from somewhere right? They can't be bringing them in smuggled in holiday maker's luggage.

  • Taylor Street Barristas sell them- I could ask tomorrow if you want?

  • doesn't someone on the forum work in a weird/imported sweet shop?

    Shit dude, that's depressing!

    Aren't you getting quicker though?

    Correct.

Go forth and discover the SOURCE..

  • Thanks for the offer, but I'm stuck over South East. With a bike that is mocking me with it's inability to hold on to a seatpost.

At least I now know to look for 29.8 seatpost clamps.

Well if you're going to pick up DJs headset press at Wests then I will bring the seatpost clamp.
