Adam, basically we discuss the agenda in a polite/professional way and then someone has a bit too much to drink and goes on about how "polo's changed" and then all hell breaks loose as the first punch is thrown...

(It's not exactly fun, but it's definitely worth attending if you want to be in the know/involved/useful.)

Yes, anybody is welcome and everyone interested in bike polo is encouraged to attend. You do not have to pay to attend, but it's only a fiver (per year) if you do want to join. I think it is fine just to show up and observe. Members can contribute to discussion. Only the Management Committee can vote at these M-Com meetings, but we welcome all voices.

I was under the impression that it was a management cttee meeting, hence the need for a quorum of management cttee members.

It was meant to be a M-Com meeting. We have an annual AGM. We have extraordinary EGMs whenever we think we should. Our last meeting was a EGM. We have M-Com meetings as our regular meetings to do operational things -- to actively work toward the goals and finish projects that were decided, broadly, but GM meetings.

Ideally I think M-Com meetings should be deciding what committees are needed to develop and accomplish specific projects, and to authorize them to do that.

^ Agreed, sort out the big aims/goals and get a team together to put things in action...
