Anyone got a YouTuber that's good for teaching thrash stuff? I'm in the mood for levelling up from my current doom capabilities. Probably need to cover some very basic fundamentals like pic grip as I've never had a guitar lesson but self taught basic theory. Nothing too dry, bonus points for Megadeth or At The Gates references / exercises...

Hondo has strings again. And six (almost) matching tuners. Still need to shape a little shim to pack out nut route, put the electrics back, fit knobs, do a little fretwork and set it up.

Re: bargain corner, there are a couple of open box Strymon Iridiums in the Andertons clearance if anyone was considering one.
Edit: ignore, they’ve all been sold.

Anyone know where I can get hold of an amp cover for a sf champ?

There'll be loads on Reverb, they always came up when I did a Super Champ search...

A classic.
I was looking at their new/recent tremolo pedal (the purple one) but I really wasn’t mad about the sound of it in demos. Not sure if the fact that it’s digital had anything to do with it (I’m usually not an analogue purist if something sounds good) but it didn’t have the warmth of the Jam Harmonious Monk that I went with in the end (I paid more for a custom paint one though, no way was I having the TPS graphics). Stacks of features though, also quite possible that my ears are simply broken and it is actually good. I usually like MXR pedals.

If you go with Roqsolid, which are pretty okay if thin, they have several differing options for SF champs, which I fell foul of... eventually I provided yet more measurements and they did me a replacement... which is a touch too long, probably my bad. Sigh.

Ooof, curious to know what’s it like. I lusted after the Dunlop Rotovibe since getting into Mad Season but could only look at it as back then it was basically the most expensive pedal out there. Eventually scratched that hitch to a degree with a Dano Cool Cat series vibe. MXR looks proper though!

that's some top content - but now i've been made aware of a band called TRAIN and their utterly awful music, and now i'm sad.

Loving those!

If you make it to the end it's actually kinda life affirming. STOP THE TRAIN!

Beato!

That's totally going to be a thing for me now.
No, dude, it's an A major with a C# in the bass... [aside]Beato!

I liked the Weezer one slightly more, maybe because I fully relate to the post-Pinkerton disappointment, but holy shit those Train songs are musical atrocities. I used to hear that “Play That Song” one in Westfield and it always made my skin crawl.

Back off, I saw her first.
Really like the maple neck and fretboard on this, not a traditional JM at all really and I don't really miss the rhythm circuit either which goes pretty much unused on my Jaguar. Bright and Jangly!
