I may well be interested in the tube screamer. How many dorrah?

  • Was thinking £70? they're about £140 new and I think I paid £80 for it. will stick thread up in classified later today (took some pics this morning). Maybe £65.

  • I'll pre-dibs it then if I may?

  • cheers dooks, think im onto a sweet amp/pedal deal with the omnipotent object. hoorah!

  • i might be interested in the pb+j if it's cheapish.

  • Dunno if anyone's interested (I've only put a vague for sale thread up so far) but if anyone wants to pick up a nice little valve combo let me know - it's the Vox AC4TV, ungigged, just sat in my room. Doesn't really work with my style. I'm looking for £140.

Thanks, unharmed, dibs are with you. just realised i'd forgotten about the PB+J. I actually lent it to a colleague to have a play with yesterday. I'll get it back off him next week. It's in good nick and in original box. Probably take £25 for it.

They're sweet little amps Bleakref. Bargain that.

  • no problem actually,
if you're not posting then it's no good to me!
    ta

  • meh. i always say that. but it's only little so i could make an exception. i'll give you a shout when i get it back.

unharmed has dibsed the TS9 but can't collect for two weeks...and as I need cash i'm leaving it up for grabs with the caveat that if someone else wants it i'll let him know and give him the opportunity to pay first. that seem fair?

  • I'm in the market for an overdrive pedal, Al... My Mk 1 Guv'nor is about to give up the ghost...

ok cheers. need something to replcae my shit cash converters behringer effort

  • just saw this josephone. tubescreamer's great sounding if you like tubescreamers (which i do). the marshall's a brilliant clean boost but to be honest i found the drive setting on it a bit too polite. i like a bit of graunch and grit myself. the mad monkey's really a great pedal for the money.

can bring it to the track tomorrow if you're about? was going to do a bit of pottering about brixton and hh anyway.

  • is anyone interested in a seymour duncan ssl1 vintage strat pickup? more info herehttp://www.seymourduncan.com/products/electric/stratocaster/vintage/vintage_stagger/ before i put it on the evil bay? £20 to forumites. It has been used

  • Looking into guitar forums. Found this one which looks good.
    http://www.guitars.co.uk/forum/
Anyone on any or can recommend one?
(Not that this thread isn't good but could do with more people;)

  • i'm on www.tdpri.com

got fed up with it though as the overall tone (ha) of the place was quite right wing, conservative and american. there are some very cool people on there but they're mostly drowned out by the hordes of slightly backwards dad-rockers, country pickin' nazis and waylon jennings fans.

it's great for practical advice of things like practical info like wiring diagrams, product reviews, and what have you. but as a "community" i give it wide berth these days.

  • Cheers man. See what you mean from the front page. Some good tech info though. Not really my vibe need something ...mellower

  • I used to hang out on TalkBass which was a great forum - friendly, mellow (on the whole), nice people and good technical content. I never found anything as good when I started looking for guitar ones tbh.

  • i went on musicradar once or twice (not posting, just browsing looking for technical info), and honestly it just seemed like a bunch of old blokes in cover bands with 100000 pedals, a les paul and an expensive amp. friendly enough though, and there's a few amp techs on there if you need information on that kind of thing
