  • Anyone after a used Gates Carbon Belt?

    FOC obvs

SBC replaced mine as routine maintenance so this one is still usable.

Ref 11M-115T-120T from what I can read

  • It'll be 115T(teeth) 12CT(centre track)

  • Well the Omnom is finally here!
Already upgraded several parts, new wheel build and chainset still to come.
The cargo net is made...Now onto the bag!

  • Why did you go for a mechanical brake?

  • My English 29er has always used cable discs for ease of dismantling and the ability to make repairs easily. I never found a need for any more power than they provided, and I like running as much of the same equipment across bikes as possible, hence this has the same TRP spyke, extralite ultralever 2, kcnc razor rotor combination... Which is also one of the lightest setups around. The English has nokon cables, but on this one I'm trying out the Yokozuna reaction cables.

  • These look good for cargo bikes if you want to be spendy:
dt swiss 350 hybrid made for e-bikes:
    Steel freehub, thick large flanges...

(a bit late, maybe for the next upgrade :))

  • I have price dropped my "La Poste" small cargo to £125, in case someone on this thread is looking for a bike

  • ..also including front rack now?

    Why is nobody buying this?
If I was in the UK I’d get this even if I don’t need it. Lovely bike.

  • I'm sure I will find a home for it soon!

  • Why don't you ride it yourself if you don't mind me asking?

  • It is too small for me and I have 2x other cargo bikes

  • Damn they are some thick flanges! Not that I can ever think of a hub flange breaking (maybe those old campag track hubs, or hope ti glides?)

  • Had broken flanges on rohloff hubs before :)

Tbh I’m not sure abnormally thick flanges are a good thing / necessary on cargo bikes. Sort of annoying as well because you have to get spokes with long shoulders and use rims with angled drillings to account for the angles the spokes exit the flange at.

  • I’d be happy using entry level shimano - if their bearing seals were better.

  • I think angles come out to about the same as a normal dt swiss 350 hub. The flanges are moved slightly inboard so the outer width is the same.

They have 2.8mm spoke holes which I think match up with DT alpine III spokes:

  • I’d be happy using anything shimano if it was cartridge bearing.

  • If the sun comes out towards the end of the week maybe you will find a buyer.

    I think it's rad.

  • Saw you on this on Piccadilly today. Looks great!

Had stuff on board and was going the other way but next time will shout you down/chase you :)

  • Man they ride so good! I'm really impressed with the handling, and even managed a bit of a trackstand last night! :)

  • It's getting a different chainset and BB this weekend, and then just waiting for new rims to arrive so I can get the wheels rebuilt.
Thankfully the bag I made is exactly the size I need for my evening job (when it's expanded)

  • Put some fancy bars on mine last night. Liking the additional width and sweep.

@Black_Rainbow_Project would like to have a proper look at yours at some point. Tempted to upgrade.
