Interesting. I was looking at the Sunringle rims, but when I spoke to a uk stockist they said the weight limit was 50 kilos.

I think those weight ratings are kinda bs honestly. Just up the spoke count?

Perhaps, but I regularly have 160kg on it on the South Downs and it’s still true three years on. The rim was suggested and built by Arkane/Martin.

I find it difficult to believe that anybody can design a chunky 406 rim with plenty of spokes that is only reliable with less than 51kg on it. Touring tandems built around 406 rims have absolutely bombproof wheels.

Just covering their ass I’m sure, Sun Ringle has a rep for strength but with a rather agricultural weight and finish.
