  • An email has been sent out advising the event is cancelled.

Please ignore this as London North District Committee is trying to recruit enough helpers to ensure the event goes ahead as planned.

If we are successful, a start sheet will be issued by Sat pm.

So hang on and watch this space, keeping your fingers crossed.

    Regards,

    Vince Freeley,

    Assnt Sec., Open Events, LNDC

  • They are trolling you.

  • They are TTtrolling you.

    Fixed.

  • That's poo. Wish they'd make their minds up.
Sucks for people that thought 'oh, it's cancelled. I'll go make other plans'. And then find out it's back on. Those affected should (morally, not sure if actually) be entitled to a refund.

  • I'm not too bothered. Shit happens.
I'd be more concerned if it was an A race but this is end of season 'jolly' for me.

  • Just managed to pick up a bargainous Zipp Super 9 clincher disc. Any ideas for a quick tyre on that? Running an 808 with gp 4000 up front which tests well but had a tub on the back previously so now in unknown territory. Thanks!

I go GP4000 on my rear because it tests fairly fast, I haven't had any punctures on them yet and the profile is fairly good on the rim. I might try a Conti GPTT one day when my current GP4000 needs replacing.

  • That's an interesting website thanks! Yeah the GPTTs look fast, but a little more fragile - think I might stick to the GP4000 for the puncture resistance/longer life as there doesn't seem to be a huge amount in it. Cheers!

  • Raced this season (well, I stopped midway through July) on a rear 23mm GPTT in all conditions, incl. riding 15miles out/back to early season races, and would recommend. No flats, and received just one small nick, but didn't go through the carcass.
Like a Supersonic but with better cornering grip and bonus puncture resistance.

  • Gp4000s 2 for my disc too. Mark Jones (d2z) recommended them to me and I've had no problems with them for one and a half seasons.

  • Cool thanks ewe guyz!

  • Get grand prix TT.

It's a TT bike. 4000s are good, but not all out TT tyres.

I've ridden to and from races this year.

Unless you're riding early season spoco courses, then swap to a 4000s for those.

  • 20.20 on the f11/10 today.

@hippy you will go under 20mins easy.

  • How many F11/10 races are there this month?!

You seem to forget there was a TCR between now and my last TT. Also, never ridden it before and conditions...

  • Oh, I also can't see a start list

    EDIT: Not on CTT but...

  • Anyone got any data on S80 alu rim vs. 808FC for 10mi? I can't be arsed swapping pads to put 808 back in. Should I?

  • 12:35 Monday I'm off. The storm will hit at 12:30 obvs.

Tell me of this magic course..

  • Massive gift hill suits the "natural descender" so I hope you haven't lost too much weight on the tcr :)

20.20 was off 267 average watts.

  • I've been on the piss the last two nights and will be again Sunday so that 1. Gotta get my excuses lined up and 2. downhills!

I don't have the 58T that got me my 20:20 any more though, damn. I hope it's not like the gusty wobble fest that was the last H25/2 I raced.

I need to load the Garmin up with P881R today and F11/10 Mon.

  • Thundery showers are expected to become more widespread later this morning and during Saturday afternoon, before easing from the southwest into the evening. Some torrential downpours are possible.

  • 20.20 was off 267 average watts

Jesus, is there actually any flat/ascent on that course?

  • I hope not.

But that wattage just means skinny/slippery.

I need another 100W to push my meat locker-esque body through the air.

  • 100kg falling 100m is 98kJ of potential energy you get to use up during the race. Spread over 20 minutes, that's about 81W

  • So, I can ride 80W below my normal 10 power? Sweet.

  • Yeah I am 63kg
Need to aerolab to work out cda but it's normally around 0.2 without any traffic so should be a little under that for today's ride
