Assou-ekotto off to qpr on loan, were some whispers that we put the thumb screws onto 'Arry that if he wanted young Tom Carroll on loan, they had to take assos-ekotto. Not sure if true as I'm not sure if Carroll has gone to QPR on loan, but interesting if it is, for the simple fact that 'Arry never wanted to play the youngsters when he was at Spurs, but now he's away he wants them all on loan... Weird!
@jonny, Chadli looked interesting, showed some flashes of inspiration, but flitted in and out of the game, most of the play went down Townsends side. Capoue was looking promisingly solid. Neat, tidy, aggressive and giving us no drop off from Sandro's performances before he did his ACL last season. So now Sandro gets the chance to restake his claim and Capoue when he returns from injury will pressure him for a starting place..
Jonny still super stoked about this season, want to see Lamela show what he can do, the competition between holtby and ericksen for a starting place as our creative fulcrum behind Soldado, Kaboul taking a starting role next to verthongen and making some surgin runs forward. Us becoming not just hard to beat but also difficult to defend against.
No. He just got you into the champions league. Best two seasons you have had since black and white tele. Managers are paid to deliver results not read the guardian.

He's not going now. Listening to the United bed wetting is all kinds of amazing. The list of fuck ups there this window is truly astounding.
Can someone workout the differential between what they paid for the wig and what they bid combined for baines and the wig?

All I'm hearing now is he HAS signed?!? The Herrera thing is hilarious though.

Great signing session but did we really get Anichebe?
To be honest our lack of goals can't be blamed on the strikers but rather a total lack lustre team performance. I have a feeling there is something very wrong at Albion and these signings might not make the difference. Am I to believe that the squad that got us to 3rd in nov/dec 12 is incapable of playing football anymore? Lukaku wasn't used much in that first part of the season rather more after January so again I fail to see the issue. There is a really good chance we just panic bought and Clarke will be out by Xmas. -

Clint, time to start to blame the manager, fancy getting 'Arry in?

BREAKING NEWS!
We've shipped out Tyson! Fuck yeah!
Best result of the entire window. It says a lot when we struggled to give him away, Blackpool must've been in full on desperate panic mode.

Very interesting day yesterday
United accelerate their journey towards mid-table mediocracy with one mid-table signing
The two maniacs now running the show at Chelsea are acting like a couple of lunatics that have escaped from the asylum. Who know's what is going on there
Arsenal fob the fans off and keep them quiet with this 'Marque signing' that seems all the rage nowadays
Liverpool, our activity combined with that of others should now see us finish in the top 4.
Everton, I think they have secured Premier league status with their buys, some good experience there, can't see why Pisti is getting the oven ready to be honest
West Brom - relegated
Tottenham - The bottlers didn't have time to sign one of our targets as no one knew who our targets wereShould be a great season

Mike, your early morning trolling is nowhere near as good as in the afternoon.
Ilori and Sakha were on the cards for a long time. What did surprise me is that they dropped £25m on the pair.

30 years ago today, Chelsea beat Brighton away 2-1. After the match, I went home and then travelled to Tooting to a party where I met MrsO for the first time.
Great match.

Few thoughts from last night
Dave Whelan is STILL a massive cunt
£27.5 for Fellaini is good money but sad to see him gone, but had been on the cards since Jan. Good luck to him
Dave Whelan is a cunt
Gareth Barry; although far from excited, he'll be good cover for the injury prone Gibson. It's only a loan and apparently Citeh are paying 100% of his wages!
Dave Whelan is a cunt
James McCarthy; £13.5m...really??? From what I've seen of him he's a decent Championship player that would stand out somewhere like Derby or Forest but not top 6 in The Premiership. Wigan went down for a reason....
Dave Whelan is a cunt
£6m for Anichebe is decent, just glad we managed to secure a decent striker in Lukaku....should guarantee us 15+ goals
Dave Whelan is a cunt
Coup of the day though....Keeping hold of Baines!!

Llori is a good price, Sahko was hefty but has some pedigree... we shall see
Pretty much all your defenders these days are around 20mil aren't they?

I think the chairman and the manager swap over has left them with their pants down a bit here... Everton took them and ran around shouting whoop whoop.
Man U says Undisclosed, Everton gleefully say 27.5 mil... ha

Through ball by Wilshere, pull back by Ozil Bendtneeeeeeeeeeeeerrrr!!! Goooooooooal! Arsenal win everything, and we all live happily ever after.

£630m spent and we have to wait two weeks to see a game.
So Arsenal and Man U finally got their fingers out. The league will be even better this season. Looking forward to it.
