Can't help thinking that if they are going to the trouble of designing a bespoke chassis they can put the engine in front of the wheels, like a Boxster or Cayman, and vastly improve the handling.

You should maybe call them and explain how they are wrong?

My main quandaries this week are which bias pedal box to go for, cylinders behind or in front under foot.

This is one of the last absurdly expensive things i need to buy for the project, and requires some fabrication to fit so need to get it right

No, have to toe heel.

First one looks better, from that perspective - but the image might be deceptive.

303 fabric proofer - the bottle is a bit opaque on this, I'm assuming I should wait for the roof to be bone dry before applying it?

Yeah, the pedal spacing and pad size is identical between both boxes.

The only difference is throttle linkage and cylinders behind or underneath, and of course price

I'm done with this for now:

I'm going to all it good, re-proof the hood and that's that.

Entertainingly the proofer says "only use when temperatures are above 21 degrees", so I'll have to set the garage on fire.
