I'm not going to encourage you too much.
But that looks bloody great. Good effort.
Now you just need a pot of dye to get the polish out of the hood. #Shouldvemaskedit

750,000 Euro pounds.
Somehow that doesn't feel all that bad given JZM want £1.25m for a 993 GT2.
If I were in that sort of league I think I would. Sadly the current exchange rate rules it out for me. Bloody brexit.

I have seen Smart repair guys using Jewelers Rouge for removing scratches https://www.amazon.co.uk/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=jeweler%27s+rouge&tag=googhydr-21&index=aps&hvadid=155857412796&hvpos=1t1&hvnetw=g&hvrand=14820066036959363331&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=e&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9044988&hvtargid=kwd-51904010&ref=pd_sl_8xz60jupx7_e

I've just bought "917 the winning formula" to understand a bit more about the car that makes that amazing noise.

I'm toying with the idea of buying a new car. For the first time ever something I would kind of actually want to own that costs more than a few hundred quid or is a hand me down.
Also the wife will probably be actually driving it most of the time as a commute to work (if/when she passes her test in a few months time) At the moment we have a 20 year old Passat (inherited) which I think she best stick with until she's had a few months actual daily driving in.
I want something that would actually be a bit of fun to drive and relatively practical economical.
I was thinking Mini Cooper Clubman S. I know there are a few Mini fans on here so I thought I would ask some advice about what to look for avoid etc. Seem to be available for around £4-6k

Plastic and glass, like anything I would always try something on a similar product or small area first to see how it comes out.

In the states, the Clubman S has 189 BHP / 200 ft-lbs torque and 3400 LBS. I would get a GTI.

Chris Harris on the 962, I could listen to Norbet Singer talk about this thing for days

What's the deal with bumper less cars, like old MG's and beetles? I think it looks ace, but is it safe and/or an mot pass?
-
• #33067
anything else!
-
• #33068
MOT pass if the car is before a certain year

Don't park in Tesco!

There's no way i'm removing the bumpers from my old volvo because, well, I enjoy bumping things.
But i've toyed with the idea of a little old car in the past, and i was wondering if there are any particular downsides apart from you being more vulnerable in a crash. It looks like a good way shed some weight! -

1080kg 44F/56R, mid-engine, fuel tank in the front.
1.8L I4 Turbo 249bhp 236 lbft
Paddleshift 7sp Getrag DSG
0-62mph in 4.5secs
45mpg
196L cargo split between frunk and boot.First batch of 1955 plated special editions all sold out at €54k each. By the time I can afford a car in this price range, it'll probably be a Tesla Model 3.

Friend did it to his mini a long time ago. Iirc, if you remove the bumpers you need to grind away the mounting tabs and bumper lip, and make it smooth, otherwise its an mot fail.

^that's right.

so good.
Didn't he put it in the wall at Goodwood?
Well, given that a bit of elbow grease has saved me ~£1,500, I'm happy where I've ended up with this. And I now have enough wet and dry to sand the Alps into a plain.
