  • The price of shit clothes and bongs will go through the roof.

    hope jd is ok

  • Maybe he lives there now and you and your mum were trespassing?

    Just a thought.

Doubt his mum was trespassing, sounds like he wanted her

    there.

  • Isn't there someone off the forum with a shop / stall there... hope they are unaffected.

Not sure what the latest is with development plans for there, but the cynic in me can't help feel that it is often places earmarked for bland redevelopment that mysteriously go up in smoke.

Fair question about redevelopment, only I thought that they just did a big refurb.

  • This just in!

Camden remains irredeemable shithole in spite of tens of pounds worth of damage done by recent fire.

  • The great Nirvana t-shirt drought of 2014. Prepare yourselves.

  • how will everyone's trousers stay up now!?!

  • bet you're glad you got in there while you still could GH. where else would you have been able to get a nickleback belt buckle same day now this has happened?

  • Wait! Nickleback belt buckles? Are they okay?!

  • if they're as durable as the bands music is timeless then I would say they may be the only thing left standing in the smouldering ashes.

  • i'm off up there to check now. i have a 'bullets for my valentines' hoody being resized as well... fingers crossed.

  • Please let Cyberdog be spared. Baby's gotta have thigh-length, stack-heeled, baby blue fluffy rubber spiked jackboots for work.

  • i find their techno to be a bit industrial for my liking

  • Did this not happen in camden before? I know camden is a bit lame what with all the tourists etc but I still like it

  • It's happened a couple times since I've been in London.

    Edit: quick Google says 2008.

  • Camden market fires are a bit like forest fires. They happen naturally from time to time.

  • I thought it was a management technique, similar to heathland burning?

  • it's necessary for the perpetuation of the species.

  • You think that there are some species of North Londoner that can only reproduce in the aftermath of a market fire?

  • can we all stop joking till we find out if JD is ok
    and his shop and bikes

  • Does JD have a shop in the stables?

  • Not anymore.

  • This surprises me to the point of questioning the accuracy of the figures. Admittedly I only know the NHS in London but thousands of management posts have been axed in the last year. 150 middle managers from just one organisation. The best thing is, nobody noticed when they left. Sickening to think how much money had been spent on a load of people doing nothing for so many years. Also, its against the NHS constitution to have performance related pay...what are these bonuses that they talk about?

There is a a Very Senior Manager's Pay scheme with performance related pay in it for DH + PCT Ambulance + SHA+/NHS England staff not for Hospital Trusts and Foundation Trusts staff.

    https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/211964/Pay_Framework.pdf

The Clinical Excellence Awards are paid to consultant medical staff in recognition of exceptional contributions to the service and also fall under the all encompassing "bonuses" the Mirror refers to

    https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/advisory-committee-on-clinical-excellence-awards

  • As London High Cost Area pay is also not technically 'basic pay' that would probably be in there too.

  • Heard from JD:

Yes my side is ok but it's a bit fucked around Gilgamesh

    Ribbing can continue.
