They're still shifting a little under weight, so I guess the stem is 26mm. I'll try a Coke can shim tomorrow. Also need a new brake cable, because that lever's completely unusable now.

I still think it will be an awkward lever to use even when positioned closer to the grip. I could be wrong but a longer lever would be better, no?

I think it'll be fine. If not, I'll try something else. They're very powerful even with one finger - I love them.
