  • Good to know before taping it up! :D

Is there any reason they can't work that way round? When I bought them I was kinda hoping the action occurred within 90° and I put them this way round as it seemed more out of the way. Will spin em round 🙏

  • This slipped through the appreciation net. What's the frame, a resprayed something?

  • I guess not but I think it would be harder to change gear.

  • It all seems to move pretty easily but I haven't actually tried riding it yet, I did wonder about pulling it a bit sideways maybe being a bad idea.

Got my pump now so can get some other tyres on it and actually try riding it and will think about the placement of stuff. I've also never ridden a bike with drops before, well I put some on my other bike for a day or two and hated it, so this is all pretty new

  • Aye, it was a charge duster originally, nice skinny Tange tubes

  • So you normally shift down the cassette with your palm, not fingers. You just pull up with you fingers to go up the cassette. All the time having your hand somewhat in contact to the bar.

The way you have it have to use your thumb to get it from 12 o clock until its in a place you can use your palm?

  • Taking some final picture for this little lightweight machine and every time I look it part of me do not want to sell it ☹️

  • I had a little spin round on it last night but it was a bit wet so I literally just went round the block and checked the gears worked and that the brakes worked and everything did so bonus.

When it's not as greasy outside I'll go and play with the set up a bit.

  • Yeah don't. New disc ones aren't as cool

  • why are you selling??

  • Interesting, I did always like the look of those because of their skinny tubes. What size wheels/tires are in there now? 650?

  • Don't sell, it doesn't get better than this

  • Yeah 650b wheels, 48c tyres.

  • True, but they stop better and more comfortable.

  • Disc brake.

  • are dead

  • Yes, for an art piece it is amazing, but for a practical bike not so much.

  • Nothing beats an alu rim brake. In the dry. I mean who rides in the ra8n anyway?

  • Buy a decent practical, big brand bike. Trek, Specialized, Canyon, Giant await your money.
