Nah that's a good call. Clamp-ons are grim.
Get a bike that isn't blue.

Rogan I love you, let's be friends.
Good choice on the custom TF frame :)
But please if it gets build, consider clearance for larger tyres possibly, and definitely mudguards.
Riding the bike all winter would be a hell of a lot more enjoyable and you know it!(I'll stop before I start talking about rack mounts ;) )

the dart has clearance for 28c by default was going to ask for 32 with room for 28 and guards
i also want a bottle cage mountt
I dont want to go to OTT because i still want a fast fixed bike for weekends

^Awesome awesome awesome awesome

Spec you've chosen sound about right, actually identical to a Dolan FXE too.
32c in my horribly skewed personal view, is the max size for performance/comfort/weight on 700c, so a normal 28c is more than enough.

• #75334
yeah itd probably be running 25s most of the time, with bigger tyres for winter/hopefully taking it away,
and custom deffo because stealth isn't my thing some colour will be nice, no idea what to do about forks though. also considering cantis instead of calliper
-
• #75335
aren't the Dart's crazy heavy considering they have a (alu steerer) carbon fork?
-
• #75336
hadn't looked at weights actually..
-
• #75337
2kg for the small standard model (frame only), about 200g heavier than the Precursa.
Custom mean you can have a different tubing to reduced the weight further.
-
• #75338
2.74kg
-
• #75339
Sound about right, they weight the smallest version (could be either 46 or 48cm) at the shop and that came out a hair over 2kg.
-
• #75340
You need to decide if your comparing frame or frameset weights!
2.74 sounds normal for a frameset.

Sounds like that could be a great build. Some carbon cross forks, mudguards, room for bigger tyres, perfectly practical! Would you go for drops or risers?
(Don't worry about weight. My gangsta comes in around 11.5kg)

yeah this - it's confusing because Dolan list the Pre Cursa at 1.78 - but its unclear if that's F&F, headset and seatpost.. or just frame (unlikely), or just F&F
-
• #75344
Need to speak to them properly about costs for different tubing
-
• #75345
No, the Precursa frame alone does weight that much, mine came out a little over 1.8kg, very porky for an alu frame (54cm).

Risers mostly with drops swapout i reckon?

It's frame only. Not sure which size.

54cm.
fuck me that's heavy for Alu

Just get Steve goff or someone to build you a proper custom frame

Rogan, just wait and speak to Jammy, he'll be able to help you figure out what you want from your bicycle (if you're set on TFG to make you a custom frame that is).
Or do what Dan suggested if you're looking for an alternated.
I don't trust his opinion thought, he doesn't race with a power meters in his cranks.
