In that case, don't worry about the tubing, it's unimportant, my Gangsta is defintely heavier than that and I loved it, it still feel great to ride.
Worry about the classic looking bike a lots later when you have more experience in your belt and know exactly what you want from several pieces of steel tubing.

fair play - buy what you like. I think the Dart's are really nice. If I needed a commuting frame - I'd probably get that

Why not a pompino?
-
• #75355
ewwww...
(I know they look x10 better in the real, and are very practical)
Would be great for canti brakes though... But rogan doesn't need them really for 28c tyres and guards

much more aesthetically pleasing,

When done right, Pompino's look the business. And if you're thinking practically/sensibly there isn't a better option out there.

Yeah that build does look awesome, I take that eewww back.
The last one I saw was a green one and I remember thinking it looked nice then as well

nature boy was a possibility but theyre more expensive than a dart and the sizes are really inbetween for me, and probably the same price as a custom dart tbh!
Pomp is also sort of righ but i want to ride it alot and i still want it to be nice

I'd have thought the Dart would be a fair bit nicer to ride on the road. You don't need the mud clearance of vs or cantis if you're using guards and 28c is plenty for occasional footpath fun.

Depends what you want. A 120mm spaced cross bike is useless to me.

No, the Precursa frame alone does weight that much, mine came out a little over 1.8kg, perfectly normal for an alu track frame (54cm).
ftfy
Forget about 1000g Deda U2 single-season climbers' frames when considering what an Aluminium frame should weigh. My medium Look 464 is just under 1.8kg for the bare frame.

reason i mentioned cantis was i was considering canti braze-ons on the rear, and some cable routing then i could switch out the forks to CX forks one day and id be set, mayaswell get it all done at once?

/troll...and a 135-spaced bike with track ends ain't much use to me!
Diff'rent strokes, innit. -

Something a bit different, don't know if anyone is interested. To replace my Turner Rail.

Diff'rent strokes, innit.Yup.
:)
If On One were going to build just one model (non disk) then 130mm made more sense. You can still use track hubs, and just bung a couple of spacers on.

Corsair Marque? Always liked the look of those.

Indeed, arrived secondhand in the post today. Heavy and almost definitely too small, but looks like it's going to build up nicely with what I've got.

Currently building up a TF Dart too and it doesn't feel heavy at all. Oversized tubing and all. Convinced myself not to go into weights and all that on this one though.

Even with that frame weight, it's not impossible to get it to around a respectful 8.5kg (using run-of-the-mill component and such).

I don't trust his opinion thought, he doesn't race with a power meters in his cranks.
gold haha
I dont have lots of money, the dart sounds like the right fit very almost anyway
^^ i dont really want something all lugs and classic just want something cheap and decent
