  • yeah, but a friend of mine sold me his da, which is fine, stiff and lovely.

  • Geared ride issues here...SOMEONE PLEASE HELP; if I buy a set of wheels with a Campag 8-speed casette, and then a Campag groupset which includes a triple ringed chainset, will this create any sort of issues? Or will I need to look for 9 speed wheels?

  • Its a very versatile machine, I'm getting to the age I favour it over my Cotic Soul hardtail

  • Building up a beater/cx bike i can lock up without bricking it too much. Its an old BSA prima frame, I used to ride it as a conversion sprayed horrible blue. I stripped it down and polished the forks and half polished the frame, finished with an acrylic clearcoat. Wheels are shimano tiagra wheelset, 8 speed 11-28, with 32c schwalbe marathon plus on the front and 32c schwalbe landcruiser on the back. Tange BB with sugino xd-2 touring cranks and 46t single chainring. Old singapore made sis rear mech, made for 6 speed but shifts fine though all 8 gears. Old Sunrace downtube shifter. Stock headset ,stem and bars from the bsa, shimano exage slr aero levers, tektro r530 deep drop brakes. tressorex cotton tape. Shimano single sided platform/spd pedals. stock seat and post.

Basically made up from parts i had but rides nicely and very good for dirt paths and woods. needs tidying up still.

    More pics here.

looks super fun, take it on some gravel roads and do some super skiddzz!

  • This going to be my next project

  • damn I'm jealous

  • Panasonics are quite nice.

  • Nice, understated. dmczone's post, that is.

  • Panasonics are quite nice.

    But pricey?

  • The cranks seem like the least of its problems.

I raced once on an old Cinelli 1A stem and Criterium bars on the track - never again. You really do feel the flex on old stems and bars.
If that's a 'spok up front as well it's going to be a flexi-tastic front end on the track

  • Please please let me know when you sell this.........You will eventually sell it at some point.

This going to be my next project

  • 2nd dibs pls

  • Good Skills KC! That Panasonic kept catching my eye, glad to see it here, and built up soon? what's the build plan? Looks tasty.

  • Thanks for the comments guys,@bj going to try and do a total njs build but I will be using it on race nights so the pedals I will be using will be look ,got some NiceParts to build it won't be using njs tubs though.

  • was it for sale somewhere?

  • on here

  • Not here eBay

  • oh well no worries willbe up for sale again soon ;)

and i don't really need two njs frames but they do ride well.

What you going to build it up with KC

  • My bad. I seem to remember there being a nice NJS frame that I really wanted but couldn't afford, then you said you'd buy it. Actually I say that with all bikes you buy.

  • there was this

    EDIT: before your time

  • Think it had just gone on it was a buy now so I did

  • pistoffski you always sell the nicest stuff.
how do you just have a lock up full of bike pron?

  • what brand is the frame, that is the important thing

  • James your frame awesome I just could not justify spending that much on a vanity build if you know what I mean
