gettin rdy for velo & summer.
bars temporary, wrong size, just there to get some idea how it runs. Still have to buy some drop bars with around 15cm drop. I love how abx-d looks but they just seem to be inpractical cool looking choise. Prolly going just something rly basic 40cm wide alu road bar. (+ white fizik tape)
Kashimax feels just nice, not too narrow or hard. Non-padded pants 30km ride without any soreness.

Serious answer: 15cm is an odd size these days, deeper than common road bars but well short of the 17cm plummet of a Deda Velocita. You've narrowed your options even further by insisting on silver and fitting a 26.0 stem
Solution: Deda Velocita, +10° OS stem. That gets the grips where they would be if you put a 15cm drop on your current stem, assuming it's -5° at the moment. Tweak the stem length to get the reach where you want it.

still current. tires need to be glued, chain has to be cleaned, waiting for the cog. for the velodrome, not for the streets.
do you not find older cranks a bit flexy under big loads? -excuse me-

do you not find older cranks and quill stems and skinny bars and steel forks a bit flexy under big loads? -excuse me-
The cranks seem like the least of its problems.

Building up a beater/cx bike i can lock up without bricking it too much. Its an old BSA prima frame, I used to ride it as a conversion sprayed horrible blue. I stripped it down and polished the forks and half polished the frame, finished with an acrylic clearcoat. Wheels are shimano tiagra wheelset, 8 speed 11-28, with 32c schwalbe marathon plus on the front and 32c schwalbe landcruiser on the back. Tange BB with sugino xd-2 touring cranks and 46t single chainring. Old singapore made sis rear mech, made for 6 speed but shifts fine though all 8 gears. Old Sunrace downtube shifter. Stock headset ,stem and bars from the bsa, shimano exage slr aero levers, tektro r530 deep drop brakes. tressorex cotton tape. Shimano single sided platform/spd pedals. stock seat and post.Basically made up from parts i had but rides nicely and very good for dirt paths and woods. needs tidying up still.
More pics here.

i'm looking for a campa record crank, so be cool. if everything is ready, then i try the long stem (130mm) and will see if it fits me or not (set-up from the short toptube somec). the bars are perfect, because i ride this bike at the velodrome for training, which means appr. 60km each session and not 3h only sprints.

so you think campa of the same era will be less flexy then dura-ace (???) which you have on now?

Yeah, OS would be the wisest thing to do, just that I got that thomson stem 2nd hand really cheap and wouldn't like to "waste" it. Going something other than OS is kind of like going quill, well maybe not that dramatic but still.
Was thinking about flipping stem and sorting out spacers with these (16.5cm drop, 41cm): http://www.velosolo.co.uk/srbar.html
or just something silly like that nitto adb-x, which would get me where I want to be at drops. -

You should add a rear brake on a fixed touring bike, it's nOt necessary but it make it a lots easier on your legs (especially downhill).

Ed, I'd been seriously considering that tbh, just need the second lever, got the caliper already!

My ridiculous Tweed Run build which I finished last Friday in a blind panic.

Going to do some more work to it to make it more comfortable — and safer!
Still fairly chuffed as it's my first ever build. -
