Judging by the reaction of my mates, I'm going to get flamed for the bars, and probably rightly so. But here's the favorite bike I've ever owned in all it's mis-matched glory. Tend to ride my polo/beater around town so this one is designed for comfortable miles. I really love this frame - beautifully made and stupidly light. Remember seeing another Leader AX geared-up, the way it should be, on here a while back (gear levers moved from down tube to bars I think) and this one will probably go that way eventually but for the time being, makes an ideal conversion. If anyone gets the opportunity to buy a Moser, you know what to do...

Shame you don't have the original seatpost, shame you don't have gears.......apart from that enjoy it though, Mosers are awesome

yeah that franco would look great with drops and gears also,

I've seen Moser pantographed posts and stems on eBay, so there's a hope.
Those bars would look better on a Moser lo-pro. -
• #27982
Yeah, there's always a hundred changes you can make to any bike. Agreed, the bars would blatantly look better on a lo-pro, but they give me the hand positions I want so meh... It's really hard to get hold of the Moser seat posts - I tried (worldwide) and gave up. The only thing it came with was a Dura Ace headset, which I can only assume wasn't original either so there's nothing purist about it, but it's not a museum piece, it's something to enjoy riding

Are you sure you don't want to trim those bullhorns a bit? They are a bit of an overkill on a normal bike. I understand, that not everybody feels the drops nor fully uses them and that's why settle on bullhorns.
If your arms are very long, perhaps try a longer stem. Sorry, just thinking. -

Then there isn't a problem. Aesthetics be damned.

More pics.Wow!
Wow again!
Love it!
That bike is so un-pretentious and perfectly right at the same time. I really love that kind of discrete perfection. Just the right thing...

Some nice bikes being built on these pages! I am building my Concorde Squadra frame up for summer sundays. It's Columbus TSX tubing and is gonna get campag 9 speed on in with ergoshifters, probably the grouppo is a couple of years too young for the frame but I have it kicking about and its nice so it needs to be ridden.
Only question is do I go for black Open Pro's, or Atlanta 96?
-
• #27992
going to have to say atlanta's
-
• #27993
The Atlantas suit it.
-
• #27994
black open pros.
atlantas look wank. -
• #27995
I usually don't like Atlanta's.... but on that they look much better than the OPs.
Although I reckon cd/ceramic OPs with silver spokes and hubs would be the best.
Btw serriously sweet frame - love the lugs.

I agree grey open pros with silver hubs and spokes FTW, but this set I have lying around have got black rims/spokes. Still I think they look classier and more understated than the atlantas. They are quite a bit lighter too.

open pros FTW
and sell me atlantas :)))
frame/bike looks sooo classy! -
