Got this for the girlfriend for £50.
Needs a bit of love but it should be good for a starter bike for London and it seems to have a good mix of components.
The seller has said it is a Linwood and was made by Tom Walker if anyone can shed any light on it it would be greatly appreciated.

That Roberts is Schweeeeet!! Nice build and, what a lovely frame, I'm so proud to be in the Roberts Club. I just finished mine this weekend, but not gonna post pics of it on the same page :) it might get a complex.

• #27962
you can even see the R on the hubs.
-
• #27963
Jaygee that Roberts is stunning (as expected!), the fillet brazing around the headtube is out of this world! Will we get the pleasure of seeing out in Surrey tomorrow?
-
• #27964
There's a chance of rain isn't there? ;-)
Thanks re-cycled btw, I'd looked at the pics in the thumbnails and couldn't see the R, went back and looked at them in the proper size and they are clearly Royce. Bling bling!

Thanks for the comments.
Véro stole my Chorus brakes for her Ellis Briggs, so what could I do.
Yes, the hubs are Royce. Scherrit insisted on Titan 36 hole. Royce describe them as being for the rider who carries a heavier load!
Now I just need to get on it and do some justice.

The fianal piece of the Carlton jigsaw 130 Cinelli Pista stem new old stock from Italy happy days.
Very nice!!! but sort out the angle of the bars, they need to be lifted a bit, the flat at the bottom of the drop should be level with the toptube or angled downwards, but pointing upwards like it is now just looks a bit odd,
Otherwise it looks awesome.
Beauty! But as Re-cycled says, sort out the bars. Only sean yates...
-
• #27970
Yes, it does look odd, but some people like to hold the curve of the drops and sometimes it can be more or less comfy, depending on the angle.

i'm itchin to get rid of the spacers and fit a nice white saddle and tape to the Croydon Roberto.
so glad you didn't put anatomics on it. -
• #27974
Spacers yes (well one or two). White saddle and tape. No! Never! The bars had to be classic. The angle is a bit weird though. All will be resolved when after some riding.
