I had a Mju II and sold it on here, actually. She's after something she can control more so a compact sir, as you say, might be a good way to got. It's going to be lighter than the Zeiss (which I once swung into my then toddler daughter's head, while it was slung over my shoulder - don't think i've ever felt a shoddier parent than that!).
@mrboulard how useable are those Rolleis? Because of their size, i always assumed they'd be a bit fiddly to use, but I've never had a chance to try one out.

Lovely shot.

ha - one way of telling you clearly haven't owned one!
om3ti is a very very good camera.everything I’ve read about that camera says it’s inflated price is due to its rarity rather than the quality of it - any truth in that?

Yeah, whatever.
The thing is, you know, I always disliked using Olympus SLR cameras / lenses. -

I'm only looking for a 'better' camera than my Pentax because cameras are so cheap in the U.S. compared to the UK so want to take advantage of it!
I've only used an OM10. It was rubbish.

didn't you buy an MX ?

Yeah. It is too small and fiddly for my hands and the shutter dial is so stiff. I believe this is common and normal. I like it. I really like it. But I don't love it. When I played with an FM2n I was like 'oh wow this is just much nicer to handle. Viewfinder was brighter. Lens was smoother. Shutter sounded nicer. Film advance was buttery and so on. Just the little things.

Fair enough! Sounds like it's just not for you then.
Hope you find a nice Nikon lens & body soon!

Ya. Ordered an FE2, EM (looks like a fun beater) and Nikkor 50mm 1.8 :-)

It’s all good. Film cameras are mostly cheap and plentiful so why use a bad one. And enjoy the search!

Nice stuff.
Actually looking forward to shooting some high ISO pics in shit weather in Berlin soon. -

this shot is great mate

Pultney bridge looks well sinister there. Lovely shots.

Cheers !
I've been enjoying Tri-X at 1600 a lot lately. Put it in a camera with a fast shutter speed and fast aperture and it's as flexible as digital for shooting in most conditions.
I've moaned in the past about Fuji binning Natura 1600, I'd be shooting that equally as my main winter colour stock if it was still around.

Fancied something 6x9 but didn't want to spend a fortune.
£51 later, this turned up.

anyone has used Pentacon 6? @mrboulard

It's got some minor fungus, so I need to work out how to dismantle the thing first

Only to throw it at cops

lol
not good?
Prices on these have been shooting up recently. I've been on the lookout for a while but now I'm just cursing not buying sooner - and probably never will unless I see a good deal.
And I'll chuck this here as new page:
